Another top shave, this Sputnik is into it's fourth shave and shows no sign of giving up. I did have one extremely rough stroke of the razor (that sounds weird!), upon inspection I noticed that I'd knocked the TTO knob open with my little finger and had opened the doors slightly. Note to self...don't do that again!

BBS results in the end and no blood drawn from the open doors stroke.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Murdock Avalon pre-shave oil
Soap: Cella
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Brush: Omega Boar 10005
Razor: ATT R1 Kronos
Blade: Rapira SS (3)
After: Proraso AS, Limes Skin Food

Wow the ATT with Rapira makes the loudest shaving noise I've experienced; wonderful sound, like paper ripping. This razor is definitely the most fun to use and gives a really smooth/close finish so I rank it in my top three along with the Weber and Fatip.

I feel sorry for pjgh not liking Cella, but if you don't like almonds then there's no way to avoid the scent with this one. I had a really luxurious lather; pjgh, you've got to use more water in the mixture, it's a very thirsty soap.

All in all a great shave, moisturised BBS results and looking forward to a day of faceterbating.

Good day folks.

Prep: T&H preshave oil
Razor: EJDE89
Blade: Derby
Brush: TOBS Super badger
Soap: Wickham Soap Co Bay rum
Post: DRH pink aftershave and Real Shaving Co balm

I have tried DE shaving before with a Wilkinson Classic and it was a disaster, so stuck to my Gilette Fusion. I acquired a DE89 from here his week as I thought I would try again. Well I was impressed, an almost BBS shave with only one nick on my neck (wrong angle) and a slight bit of irritation on the neck. So I am going to practice!

Hot shower
Hot flannel
Stroppe Shoppe London Morning scuttle lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
Gillette NEW Deluxe chrome
Racer (2)

Myrsol F/extra aftershave

A decent comfortable shave. I won't push the Racer for more shaves, cheap as chips when bought in bulk. A different razor and new blade set up for tomorrows shave.
