Prep: hot wash and Proraso Pre.
Soap: Professor Blighty Sandalwood.
Brush: Vie-Long Horse.
Blade:Astra Superior Platinum (1)
Razor: 1966 Gillette Slim Adjustable (4)
Post: Old Spice on face and Nivea Balm on neck.

Nice smooth shave today, tried a 4th pass on my trouble spot on my neck but it was a wee bit too much, mild razor burn but sorted with some alum and nivea balm. The rest of my face and neck are super-smooth and very pleased. I am not sure about the old spice though, my dad used it all the time and the stuff I got doesn't smell the same. Its nice though so I will keep using it but I don't think I will buy any more.

Jim

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

1964 rebranded Macys silvertip
D. Corrado OC/Wilkinson Super Sword Edge (NOS)
Xpec SC
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Old Spice AS lotion used as cologne (vintage juice from late 1950s)

Gotta go a little slower than usual with this vintage razor made by Dovo. On the OC milder side and pretty comfortable on my face but still very effective. Squeaky clean and close shave.

BBS results,

Martin

Wade & Butcher, The Celebrated Hollow Ground

Shaving with a quite old razor is always amazing. Not only because of the beauty of shaving with a magnificent razor like this one, but also for the excitement of knowing you are reviving a glorious an important story. A superb razor, no matter it is more than 100 years old, it is capable of ruling most of the "young" ones.
