Warm shower
Hot flannel
WSO Signature bowl lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
Gillette Parat
Rapira Swedish (1)
Cold rinse
Thayers Lemon witch hazel
Old Spice Sensitive aftershave

Eucris soap
Omega 10098
Muhle R41
Personna Med Prep (3)
Old Spice Whitewater
Eucris

Didn't intend to use the Eucris afterwards but the scent of the soap was too much to resist. Actually doesn't go too bad with the O/S.

The soap is hard to lather. I've tried every brush I've got and various loading/lathering techniques from t'internet but no joy. I will persist for another week or so before it becomes bath soap.

Greetings

Friday 29th August 2014
Prep: Shower
Razor: Joseph Elliot 6/8
Brush: Semogue Mistura
Soap: T&H No. 10
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDP: Tom Ford Black Orchid

A very reasonable shave, the part I am finding the most difficult is the jawline, shaving reverse grip from the ear towards the chin. I have at last mastered shaving my chin. No doubt eventually I will get there and I am making better progress now I feel more comfortable with the razor.

Regards
Dick.

Ok so this was my box of tools this morning.

2ryri1w.jpg

Prep: Hot wash and Proraso Pre-Shave.
Soap: Professor Blighty's Hyperion.
Brush: Vie-Long horse hair
Razor: Kropp 6/8 straight (on cheeks). Finished with 1966 Gillette Adjustable.
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum.
Post: Professor Blighty's Hyperion.

My first time out this morning with the Kropp (or any straight razor) but i felt something was not quite right felt a lot of tugging but I got no nicks or weepers. Weather I need to strop it more, or technique or is it actually shave ready I just cant tell as I have nothing to compare it against. However with me being new at this I would have to say its probably me. It wasn't bad enough to stop me from trying again but i think I may send this off to get an opinion from someone who knows about these things.

Rather than risk going any further I finished the shave with my DE. Very smoth and clean.
