Return of my Stirling Mojo

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso preshave - sensitive
Soap: Stirling Bay Rum
Brush: MÜHLE Kosmo silvertip synthetic
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Razor: Slim @7
Blade: Lord (2)
After: Old Spice AS, Zirh ASB

After failing on the second attempt with this Bay Rum soap I decided to pull out all the stops to get it to explode properly. Introduce the synthetic brush, to eliminate brush soaking up lather, wide necked bowl for more elbow space for vigorous action.
This payed off with a successfully thick lather, like mousse. Takes a bit longer than other soaps but the results are ace. Now I'll have to see if I can get the same results with my other Stirlings.

Don't like the Lord blade much (I'm using up my under-used blade brands) as it felt sticky so I'll retire it after 2 shaves.

Final result, smooth BBS and soft face.

Have a good one, chaps.

Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM OCMM
Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Semogue SE 2012 Mixed
Soap: Tabac Stick grated
Aftershave: Floid Balm

A great shave despite my hard water. It is not until you return from a couple of weeks away as I have just done, shaving with super soft water that you realise the huge difference in slipperiness between hard and soft water. After a fortnight in the warm; night temperatures of +2 C are a little hard to stomach. To make matters worse with only just over a month to go; on the radio this morning everybody was using that disgusting C word!

Best Regards
Dick.

Prep: Hot shower, L'Oreal Purifying Wash with charcoal
Pre: Proraso White
Brush: Coates Fitzwilliam Pure Badger
Soap: Palmolive / La Toja sticks grated
Razor: Timor Open Comb 1350K
Blade: Sputnik #1
Post: Alum, Lemon Tea Tree Mentholated WH, Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus ASB
Fragrance: Muehlens 4711

Result: Very nice indeed. The blended Palmolive/La Toja sticks make a great lather that really works for me. Still very impressed with the Timor OC razor and works excellently in tandem with the Sputnik. A DFS this morning, I conclude.

All the best

Jon

Razors: Pal adjustable injector, Cobra Classic.
Blades: Schick injector (1). Feather Professional (4).
Pre: Proraso green pre.
Brush: Polo 8, super.
Soap: MWF.
Aftershave: Floid the genuine.
EdT: Penhaligon's Esprit du Roi.

Should not have bothered! I borrowed the Pal and put a brand new blade in and nothing? Could not get it to cut at all, so I gave up and swapped to the Cobra. Which I nicked my neck with, not a great shave cumulating with...

Thursday:

Afternoon, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89 with Bulldog handle
Blade: Derby (6)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave cream: RSC
Aftershave: Yellow Ginger
Cologne: Azzaro pour Homme

Well, that was a poor shave! Everything seemed to go fine then, half an hour after finishing up, my face started to feel tight and sore. I had a look and there was lots of redness under the jawline - haven't seen anything like that in a good, long time. I was a bit rushed and distracted, I suppose, because I had dental treatment first thing in the morning. Anyway, an hour later the redness had disappeared, but it'll teach me not to take things for granted.
