…and on the second day he shaveth again, but he dicketh about a bit too much, got a little cocky with the blade and managed to draweth blood.

It was reassuring to see that his blood was red however it took ages to stoppeth bleeding :p

Prep: Clinique face wash

Soap: MWF - face lathered

Brush: Simpson Commodore X3 best

Razor: Weber shiny/bulldog

Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (1)

Post: Proraso Green AS lotion

First go with the Commodore and the Weber, best MWF lather yet and and really nice shave. Might feel a purchase coming on...

TUESDAY EVENING

Prep: Hot rinse
Razor: Henckels Henso
Blade: Feather
Brush: Shavemac D02
Soap: Institut Karite - bowl lathered
After: Witch hazel and Institut Karite balm

My first go with this brush tonight. It eats soap like nobodies business! Got some really good lather as a result.

Cheered myself up after missing out on the Kirby by using one of my rarer razors. Unfortunately chose to pair it with a Feather. Me and these blades really don't get on, they seem really harsh on the first shave (got a nick on my neck that I still don't know how I managed it) and don't have great longevity either.

I will use them up and not buy any more!

Tuesday morning

Gillette Silver Blue
Pinaud Vanilla AS

First use of a Silver Blue for me, and very nice it was too. Easy BBS. Last shave with the pass around Weber tomorrow, then it's off to its next custodian.

Mitchell's wool fat
Witch hazel
L'Occitane Baux aftershave balm
L'Occitane Ambre & Santal EDT.

The very first shave for this NOS Filarmonica, and the very first trip to the hones last night, as with all these big Filarmonica's I've always found them to be the easiest of razors to hone, and the shave was superb.
