Good evening, fellows …

Hot Towel
Olive Oil Blend PSO
Tabac Soap
Pure Badger Brush
DE89 Head on Fencing Handle
Sputnik (Teflon) [2]
Hot Rinse
Cold Rinse
Alum Wash
Witch Hazel/Grapefruit Toner
Brut Musk Aftershave Lotion
Recipe for Men Moisturiser

Another pleasing glide with the Sputnik, although just starting to get scratchy at the very end. No issues, though.

I decided upon Brut Musk to compliment the Tabac soap which has a subtle but different scent to the Tabac Aftershave. I find Brut Musk to be "more Tabac" than Tabac when finishing from a Tabac Soap shave.

Cheers, all.

MONDAY EVENING

Prep: Warm rinse
Razor: Ever Ready 1914 (little lathercatcher)
Blade: GEM
Brush: Semogue 2012 LE
Soap: Fitjar Shea Pleasure - bowl lathered
Post: Witch hazel, Proraso balm

Hmm, found this quite a challenge to shave with. I don't know if it's to do with the convex shape of the blade holder but I had trouble getting the angle right I think (though it made the right noises).

Consequently I've got a decent enough finish, but had a couple of blood spots on my top lip that I had to styptic shut. This is probably the hardest to use SE I've tried IMHO (out of the Featherweight, 1912, Streamline and G-type).

Good Morning Gents,

prep: hot shower, Proraso pre shave creme
Lather: went for a mix of Michell's Wool Fat Soap and TOBS sandelwood
razor: Merkur 34C with a Feather blade (second uses for the blade)
Post: Alum block, Bluebeards post balm which I quite like and added benefit of Witch Hazel.

The razor glided effortlessly over the skin leaving a nice BBS finish.

Tuesday v November, 2013

Remember, remember the 5th of November!

Prep: Hot shower, Lucky Tiger Face Wash
Pre: Vito's Crema Pre-Dopobarba
Brush: Edwin Jagger Pure Badger Travel
Soap: Figaro p.160 / Jack Black Supreme Cream Triple Cushion Shave Lather
Razor: Digress HD
Blade: Personna Lab Blue #2
Post: Weleda Smooth Shave Toner, Bulldog ASB
Fragrance: Muehlens 4711

Result: Every year I get increasingly annoyed that Halloween has completely overwhelmed Bonfire Night. I know that it is rooted in anti-Catholic sentiment, but I find it slightly sad that I don't see "Penny for the Guy" at all any more. Halloween is so American, and is so over marketed, our quaint English historical event stands no chance. Oh well, rant over.
Shave was good, DFS, I would say. I'd forgotten how nice the Muehlens is. Lovely scent.

All the best Gents,

Jon

Tuesday

RazoRock XXX
Semogue 2012 SE
Muhle R89
Gillette 7 o'clock Yellow
Professor Blighty's Green Ginger AS

First use of the R89 in about a year, what a great shave it gave. Easy BBS.

Greetings

Tuesday 5th November 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: Schick J1 Injector
Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome Comfort Coated NOS
Brush: Omega 39 Boar
Cream: Speick
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)

A superb shave, these are the best injector blades I have tried they are circa 1998, a shame there is virtually no hope of getting any more.

I'm off early hours of tomorrow to Fuerteventura for a couple of weeks, I have a Galaxy Android tablet but to my shame I can cope with little more than sending a simple e-mail on it, the keypad is, (IMHO) a bloody joke! 'See' you all in a fortnight.

Regards
Dick.
