Hot shower
Hot flannel
DR Harris Marlborough soap scuttle lathered
Simpson 56 best badger brush
Gillette Hybrid Tech
Personna Platinum Chrome (3)
Cold rinse
Thayers Lavender witch hazel
Boots Freshwood aftershave

Final shave for the blade, a fresh blade and different razor set up for tomorrow. I will be trying some of the Sterling soap tomorrow.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Simpsons best
1934 type Aristocrat/Iridium
Xpec SC
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Aramis 'Havana' EdT (vintage juice)

Last few shaves have been with the same razor/blade and shaving cream. Both times have been quite nice, seeing as how the US made Aristo actually fits me pretty well. Yep, it's about the only open comb type in the arsenal used somewhat often because it's on the OC milder side. I need to go a little slower, and use a little shallower angle than usual, but that's all I need for a comfortable shave. Plus, the shave itself is one of those squeaky close ones, which the mild Webly just can't give me. Plus, it's got a barber pole handle, and the razor's gold plated. Very purty thang.

Nice to have this one in the arsenal for days like the last few.

BBS results,

Martin

Sunday

Soap: Speick stick (grated)
Brush: Simpson Commodore X3
Razor: Weber Pol/Bulldog
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1)
Post: Speick ASB
EdT: Penhaligon's Opus 1870

Suffered a non-shave related cut on my right thumb that made today's shave a little awkward, but still managed a DFS.

Face wash with Pears soap
Merkur Digress HD B / Gillette Swede
Simpsons B1 Beaufort Butterscotch
Penhaligons Sartorial Shaving Soap
Proraso Green A/S

The little B1 brush did me proud and whipped up my best lather so far from the Penhaligons soap.

fandabidozy shave, got to love those Swedes :)

Gillette New #88
Rapira Super Stainless (1)
Semogue SOC 2-band
Martin de Candre scented
Proraso Aftershave balm

Loaded heavily and made far too much lather; I could have done 7 or 8 passes! Nice post-shave feel from the balm and the first truly smooth shave in ages. I don't think the Rocket HD I've been using while away has suited me - even after daily use for other a week. This two piece New, however...

Cream: Proraso Red
Razor: Digress HD
