I wasn't planning on shaving until tomorrow but a new toy came to the door this afternoon and I had to give it a bash.

Razor: Razolution 4-edge.
Blades: a. Personna med blue (1) b. Personna med blue (1)
Pre: The Gentleman's Groom Room Pre-shave cream.
Brush: Simpsons Polo 8 super.
Soap: Cella.
Aftershave: Myrsol Agua balsamica.
ASB: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet.

What a strange razor this 2 blade monstrosity is. :icon_eek: I like it, it's quite smooth when the angle is right but the angle used is where the handle is pretty much parallel to your face. A bit of practice and this will be a good change of pace for the rotation.

Scott.

TUESDAY EVENING

Prep : Warm rinse
Razor : Kai Captain Excelia
Blade : Feather Professional
Brush : TSN Shavemac 2013
Soap : GFT coconut cream - bowl lathered
Post: Witch hazel & GFT sandalwood skin food

No claret tonight, and very nice DFS (not BBS yet). Muscle memory is coming along!

TUESDAY

Prep: Run, hot shower
Razor: Mergress (as I had one delivered, to forward abroad, and have leant out my Digress)
Blade: Feather
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 in best
Soap: MdC Fougre
A/S: Floid The Original
Balm: Blueness "Spice Marine"
Cologne/Edt Penhaligons Endymion

Close comfortable shave. The on loan Chubby is a fantastic brush with soaps and creams. The MdC is without equal and I love Floid both in original and Blue guise (thanks Trainman)

Blueness balm is very good indeed. Supplied from Turkey, the "Spice Marine" version reminds me of ToBs Jermyn Street. Not greasy or sticky, soaks in well leaving the skin smooth and hydrated.

Comfortable shave.

Wednesday:

Morning, everyone.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Feather Portable
Blade: Polsilver SI (5)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: La Toja stick
A/S: Halston Z-14
Cologne: Halston Z-14

Excellent lather from La Toja resulting in a very good shave.

Wednesday:

Ingram's cream
Semogue 2012 SE
Gillette Slim Adjustable
Rapira Swedish Supersteel
Proraso AS

A minty shave this morning. Nice and smooth and feeling refreshed.

Wednesday 25th September 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready 1914 Little Lather Catcher
Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Semogue 830 Boar
Soap: Soap Opera Himalaya
Aftershave: Astral cream (light)

Immaculate shave, just first class. My first use of this soap given to me by a kind friend on this forum; I am very impressed, super easy to lather, lather does not collapse and the soap is very 'slippy' and, (if you live in the States) cheap!

Regards
Dick.

Wednesday 25 Sept 2013
Morning, chaps
Prep: Nivea face wash; hot towel
Razor: Gillette Fat-handled Tech
Blade: Gillette Yellow (2)
Brush: Semogue 830
Soap: Boots stick
Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm

Very close and satisfying shave of two days growth today. Hot towel might have something to do with that. Loving the Semogue.

Wednesday xxv September, 2013

Prep: Shower, Shea Butter Savon de Provence
Pre: Cold water splash
Brush: Edwin Jagger Best Badger travel brush
Soap:Tcheon Fung Sing Tabacco Verde Intenso
Razor: Heljestrand SE
Blade: Heljestrand MK wedge blade, honed and stropped by UKRob (many thanks)
Post: Sal Alum, Thayer's Medicated WH, Bulldog ASB

Result: Second usage of freshly honed wedge blades in my Heljestrand SE. A beautiful job by UKRob. A fine shave, but more work required on technique. The blade was sharp and very smooth. The TFS is a lovely soap with a wonderful scent, fresh scent. Great lather properties too. A bit rushed this morning, so only a mediocre result.

All the best, gents.

Wednesday

Prep : clinique face soap
Razor : merkur progress xl
Blade : supermax platinum
Brush : c&e super badger
Cream : proraso blue
Post shave : clinique happy

Nice shave

TUESDAY

Prep: Hot shower
Razor: Feather All Stainless AS-D1
Blade: Personna Med Prep
Brush: SOC Boar
Soap: MdC Fougre
A/S: Floid "Blue"
Balm: Blueness "Spice Marine"
Cologne/Edt Ralph Lauren "Polo"

Just bought the Feather and SOC brush from a kind member on the forum. Also included (as a surprise) were a large number of good quality blades.

Having taken the plunge with the Feather, I then read reviews and started to worry.

Last week I gave a Gillette Tech a run out and had a difficult, uncomfortable and not too close a shave (for whatever reason, probably in hindsight bad technique coupled with 7/8 shaves in a row)

The reviews all compared the Feather with the Tech, this morning I loaded the Feather with a Med Prep, soaked the Boar (I am usually a Badger man) and set off.

The razor is mild in comparison to some of my razors, it does need concentration, and the angle is acute in comparison to some of my razors, I made sure I had plenty of time, concentrated and ended up with a very respectable DFS shave.

Floid is good, but let me know that the shave was not irritation free. Sting lasted a minute, then when dry I applied the blueness balm. Really really like this balm.

Soap, needs no mention, simply awesome!
