Lovely razor that, Brian!

Brush: Vulfix 404 'Bodger'
Shaving Soap: Trumper's Coconut
Aftershave: Vintage Shulton Old Spice

Very nice indeed! The Sputnik blades are fast becoming my favourite, the soap was wonderful as always and as for the Old Spice, just let's say there's a wee monkey sleeping contentedly in the corner. :D

Thanks Graeme :icon_razz:
The Sputniks are my no1 blade excellent.

Prep: Village Barber oil
Soap: Proraso Green
Brush: NF Tubby 1
Razor: Fatboy (6/5) w/Vockshod
Post: Village Barber Balm w/444

Well I had a lot of facial hair to clear (by my standards) in all honesty it made me miss my slant a bit. Fatboy did quite well untill XTG and got a couple of small nicks. Not a fair test for these blades although first pass was smooth, second pass was a bit draggy.

Feels nice to be clean faced again!

A spot of cleaning this evening. The #22/66 is on the left.

After Dipesh's OC porn I rummaged around and found a very brassy new long comb head I hadn't used till now.

Hot Shower & 3P
SOC 2 Band Cherry
Castle Forbes Lime cream
Gillette New Long Comb with Fat Tech Handle
Gillette 7 o'clock green (1)
Castle Forbes ASB

A really smooth shave managed to take the top off of what was left of an ingrown bump so a bit of blood.

I think I may have to send this off for a replate when the finances are in order and maybe even a heavy handle to complete.

Monday morning

Prep : clinique face soap
Razor : merkur progress xl
Blade : shark ss
Brush : kent blk12
Soqp : c&e sandalwood
Post shave : clinique happy

Third shave with the shark and quite enjoyed it. Not sure if it's better than 12 months ago or the progress. New blade for tomorrow.

The kent and the c&e soap are going down well. Change of brush tomorrow though

merkur hd
personna red
shavemac #25 silvertip
TOBS st james shaving cream
skin bracer AS
boots no7 post shave balm
montana parfum d'homme edt

pretty decent shave. face felt quite dry after the shave though, must be the changing weather, start of the balm season for me i think.

MONDAY EVENING

Prep : Warm rinse
Razor : Cobra Classic
Blade : Feather Professional
Brush : Semogue Cherry OC
Soap : Klar Kabinett - scuttle lathered
Post: Witch hazel & GFT sandalwood skin food

Two rough shaves and one savaging of a toilet roll inner later and the Feather is tamed and gives a lovely shave.

Have been surbachi-ing for a few weeks now but my new Woodhead lather bowl should be here tomorrow so I'll return to creams and badger brushes then.

You don't see many of those razors. I usta have a cased chromium set that had a real purty shine to it. Unfortunately those Deluxe heads kill me. Sold it to a buddy of mine who uses it regularly.

Slim Twist with Racer stainless
Arko stick in a bowl with Trumpers Rose cream added
Turkish no. 6
Floid Vigoroso a/s

Decent. I intend to start shaving in the evenings again. My cunning plan is that this razor and blade combo will mean I have more stubble and zero irritation come tonight.

Tuesday xxiv September, 2013

Prep: Shower, Shea Butter Savon de Provence
Pre: Cold water splash
Brush: Edwin Jagger Best Badger travel brush
Soap:Tcheon Fung Sing Tabacco Verde Intenso
Razor: Heljestrand SE
Blade: Heljestrand MK wedge blade, honed and stropped by UKRob (many thanks)
Post: Sal Alum, Thayer's Medicated WH, Bulldog ASB

Result: First usage of freshly honed wedge blades in my Heljestrand SE. A beautiful job by UKRob. A fine shave, but requires a little work on technique. The blade was sharp and very smooth. The TFS is a lovely soap with a wonderful scent, fresh scent. Great lather properties too.

All the best, gents.
