S.O.T.D. Sat. 21st Sept. to Frid. 27th Sept. 2013

Greetings

Tuesday 24th September 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: Gillette 'Old' Mayfair Set
Blade: Super Iridium & one shim
Brush: Vulfix 406 Boar
Soap: La Toja Stick grated
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)

A lovely DE shave, my first for a couple of weeks. It's probably a year since I have used one of these blades, I had forgotten just how smooth they are, I don't believe they necessarily give a closer shave but they are (IMHO) one of the smoothest and most comfortable DE blades I have tried.

Regards
Dick.

johnsons babysoap x2 face wash
merkur travel
7OC yellow (1)
simpson brush
LEA stick new formulation
skin food

nice clean shave. i find that the fatip piccolo is a bit to aggressive unless used after about 3-4days. it was excellent on 9 days of growth, 3 pass bbs, however my face doesn't like it after only a day or so rest, hence the mild merkur. results were good. i intend to use the mild razor a bit more often to try and get the face used to regular shaving

happy days

Cracked open my tub of Proraso red. It had taunted me in the back of the wardrobe for a while. I'd been in a sandalwood mood all day. The Serge Lutens offered a perfect, boozy output all day. It's definitely worth a full bottle.
