Mine has found an absolutely perfect home under a Muhle R41 head. Perfect. Other heads do seem much improved, for me, encouraging a light touch.

The first order for 2014 has been completed, it's my take on a ball end handle, 85mm x 12mm.
It was nice to get back on the lathe, having not made any handles since November.
If anyone is interested in having one made don't wait too long because I plan on knocking down my shed and building a much larger workshop next month. This means I'll be out of action for a while.

I'll have one when you're ready ...
One point to note, for vintage Gillettes, the Old and the New are ever so slightly different diameter at the screw end. An Old will not fit onto a New. I'll get some measurements later on ... it's very very slight, but noteworthy. That, or I could send you a pair of examples to caliper measure (if you have such a thing) which need some knurling applied - those long handles I made from brass pipe.
I'll have one when you're ready ...
