I'm rather taken with the smoking jacket idea:

Very nice but rather pricey, but of course only the elite here at TSR will be purchasing one. ;)

I suspect that Sir Prize owns a smoking jacket. Perhaps he could recommend one? :D

I think he owns slipper warmers too :lol:

Of course your jacket is more likely to be steaming due to the vigorous activity in the horse slurry

Just checked out this Oliver Brown site using my favourite price comparison website comparewithpeegcaat.com and came up with a small saving for those considering buying some socks.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.oliverbrown.org.uk/heel-toe-socks-2548-0.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.oliverbrown.org.uk/heel-toe- ... 548-0.html</a><!-- m -->

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.topman.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=17551&storeId=12555&categoryId=132902&parent_category_rn=55918&productId=1065660&langId=-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.topman.com/webapp/wcs/stores ... &langId=-1</a><!-- m -->

I make that a saving of £11.50/pair. When I need socks I usually buy a few at a time. This multiplies up to a rather serious saving of at least fifty quid. Now just think what shaving gear you could buy with that... :hungrig

"Thank you, comparewithpeegcaat.com!!"

That watch is naff. I''m sorry if I am ignorent, I'm not a labels person, and never take any notice of designer labels and such, but if someone told me they had bought it for a fiver, I would only be surprised that they hadn't chosen something much nicer for a fiver.
Now dressing gowns....if it could be cat kneading proof, I'ld definitely consider it.

Pig Cat, you leave Sir Prize alone........we are lucky and indeed honoured that someone can be an accurate barometer of good taste here. Unlike, and I'm not trying to start an argument - but there has been certain discussion of orange bics........ :lol:

Hunny....the objection to slipper warmers would be?????? I myself rely on crocks rather than slippers; not only are they cold, but they do lead to static electric shocks every time I take clothes out of the tumble drier and in numerous other locations....so you've got me thinking now, slippers left on top of the radiator may be the way to go. Hmmmmm!

Holy Gamoly, evey time I try to post, there's another message. What you overlook PC, on the sock front, is that the Topman socks are only 75% cotton...which to some people like HWMOM apparently makes a significant difference.

Ah, the Badger & Blade watch. The one with the Ewok on the back.

Shaun here put me on to this site <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.timefactors.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.timefactors.com/</a><!-- m -->

The chap who runs it -- Eddie Platts from Sheffield -- designs and "makes" watches (or gets them made for him to his spec).

Some nice ones and quite reasonable prices, too. Basically, "Eddie Platts from Sheffield" has better taste than Texas Big Bucks (or whoever) on Badger & Blade. Surprise surprise.

I'm not a watch fan. I don't even wear one though do own a Fossil watch which was given to me as a gift. I took a quick look at Time Factors and saw this, which I think is wonderful:

I know taste is subjective and we all think we have the best taste, but come on, this is so much classier than that B&B monstrosity. Well I think so anyway. Pity they appear to be quite rare and certainly out of my price range. :cry:

What an utterly absurd suggestion - I have never heard such rot in all my life - where do you people get your ideas from - - do you really think I would own anything so effete and pretentious as a smoking jacket? - the very idea!
I'm a plain ordinary dressing gown man, but as to recommendations I am rather at a loss since Sulka's ceased trading in 2002 - perhaps other people can recommend where they got their dressing gowns?
