RE: SOTD w/c Sat 5th May - Fri 12th May ...

Monday:

Bank holiday, so nice lazy start to the day.

Vitos pre-shave
Palmolive/Erasmic soap
Gillette Tech
Feather (1)
Pinaud Vanilla

First time I've used a Tech, teamed it up with a nice sharp Feather. Really nice shave, smooth and comfortable, BBS results. It makes a nice change from the more aggressive razors I normally use.

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: 21 mm silvertip in oak by Henk
Razor: Bartmann
Soap: Dutch moss by Henk
AS: Professor B's Grapewood
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean :D

Love the scent of Henks soap and this 21 mm brush is all you really need, even though I brought out the big 15/16 Bartmann gun to go with it :D

RE: SOTD w/c Sat 5th May - Fri 12th May ...

This morning:
Gillette Super Adjustable "Black Beauty" on 4 with a Gillette Blue blade. I think this particular range dates from the early 60s (no date code on blade - made in England). It's dark blue and not coated but despite me being to 'feel' the blade doing its thing I got a very nice shave.
One Planet moisturiser
TOBS "Shaving Shop" cream (cheap on ebay - no scent, still great performer)
Bulldog a/s balm

RE: SOTD w/c Sat 5th May - Fri 12th May ...

merkur HD
supermax super platinum
shavemac #25 silvertip
TOBS st james cream
prof blightys green ginger AS

really decent shave, these supermax blades are excellent, nice and smooth. i may buy another 100.

It's nice to have you "back" K, how long's your holiday this time?

Not a holiday, here for work actually, 10 days this time. Another two weeks coming back in Ath end May/early June, again for work. It's kind of sad though as it looks we may be heading the "exit the Euro" way, unless the June 10 most likely upcoming elections will not yield a sustainable coalition.

Aha, well, it must be nice to work so close to home anyway :). Even though it's sad to see where things are going with Greece right now, I heard a neo nazi party was on the move and actually got lots of votes :(
