I'm posting the SOTD thread now, but haven't shaved yet (on my way right now)... I'll get back with details later, but I did a quick sketch, of my set up this morning, what you think?

Feather RG (and professionals)/Simpson Chubby 2/Vulfix luxury English Rose cream/Dr Harris Sandalwood AS/Neil Miller strops

Fantastic clean and close shave (Uberclean ), this razor's all about clinic and function, even though I find it a little empty on "heart", but I'll keep it and shave with it now and then with pleasure, anyway - it's a damned fine shaver!

I've been waiting with interest to see what you'd think of the Feathers, Mikael.

I must get around to trying a traditional straight - never have. I'm hoping the skills are transferable...

Yes, they are (def so, in my book). I'd say it's prob easier that way around, than the other

Pre Art of Shaving Unscented Oil + St James of London Cedarwood&Clarysage shaving cream + Vie&Long 16910 "two bands edition" + Merkur Futur at 2 with Gillette Platinum + Palmolive Power of Nature lotion with Proraso balm

I love St James scent! Probably I'll buy the after-shave and cologne range when I spend some things, hehe. A good shave although I should put the Futur in a upper dial.

Was up and out early for rowing on the Tyne so didn't have a shave until I got back.
