Gillette English Aristocrat with English Wilkinson Sword blade
D R Harris Arlington cream
Henk walnut silvertip
Proraso post-shave cream

Very nice shave. I'm really getting the hang of the Aristocrat now (it was the roundness of the head making it hard to find the angle, but seemed to have got used to it). This vintage Wilkinson Sword blade is possibly the best fit I've found for it
Very close but in my quest for perfection a few weepers and slightly sore in places.

The Arlington cream really lathered well with my brush!

Monday:

Fatboy (on 9)
Crystal super platinum
Neep box wood silvertip
T&H sandalwood cream
T&H sandalwood asb

Best shave so far with the Fatboy. I did a couple of things differently - I used a Crystal blade, and cranked it up to 9. It didn't feel aggressive, but just got the job done smoothly and efficiently. Splendid.

Ikon OSS
Polsilver (6)
Cella
Simpsons PJ 2 band
Witch hazel
Prof Blighty Yellow Unction

I'm running out of superlatives to use about the OSS and the Polsilver. Suffice it to say they are proving a match made in heaven. I'm still waiting for the Polsilver to start dragging!

Really took my time with the Cella tonight. Dry scuttle, slowly adding drops of water and got a much nicer 'whipped egg white' lather than the other day.

All in all, a lovely shave.

Tuesday

Semogue 2000
Mergress
Polsilver
MWF Shaving Soap
Barbershop Bay Rum Aftershave + 444 Gel

I didn't fancy using a straight tonight and with all the praise lately for the progress i thought I would dig out my mergress and shave with it tonight and what a great shave I had, super close and smooth.Fantastic.

Monday:

Penhaligons nickel brush
T+H Grafton cream
Merkur 37 slant
Gillette 7 o'clock yellow
TOBS bay rum aftershave

Still not got the hang of this slant, feels rough and edgy and I'm left with spots of stubble. I'll get there.

Up @ 5am tomorrow so shaved tonight.

Took my Joseph Rogers 6/8 to the Coticule for a few laps tonight.
Lathered up with Fitjar Lighthouse soap
Finished off with Nannys Coconut & Vanilla post shave hydration

Lovely shave:heart:

Eclipse Red Ring+Gillette Wilkinson Sword

Been away the last few months so havn't been posting, used the following set up for ease, pretty much for the entire time away.

Gillette Mach 3 sensitive, new plastic handle mach 3 launched recently, not the disposable ones available here.
Noxzema Yellow (cocoa butter) supeb (almost) brush like lather from a can.
Sudocrem, if the irritation on my neck kicked off.

Turned out the be be a great no fuss combination while away.

Brilliant stuff.

I always make sure I have at least one can of that, and the blue (menthol) one in the house.

I thought so, just ordered another can as well the sensitive (red) one.

Tuesday: (thanks to Ids)
Noxzema shaving foam, mentholated
Gillette Fusion ProGlide
Cold water splash

Ah, it's still that easy.

Before stumbling across the shaving forums I used Noxzema and a cartridge razor (usually a Gillette Mach 3) every day.

I can see another extended period of cartridge shaves ahead of me.
