excellent, drama free smooth shave. think im going to have to load the nannys soap for longer next time though, only got one lather out of it then had to reload for a second pass. very nice soap though really enjoying the old spice too.
2nd Saturday shave.
Really didn't need it but.... See another open comb '04 style came in the mail today. After a soak and a brush (or is it a Brush and a Sponge) I thought I'd try it:
Razor: Gillette '04 style ball end - no date code so 1921ish.
Blade: Shark
Soap: also came today; Irisch Moos stick- interesting.
Brush: Boar
Aftershave: Clubman Pinaid
Nice second shave!!
Shave today, with picture! The photograph didn't show as much as I wanted, the contrast between background and objects is too strong.
Shaving factory brush, blue beards revenge, super max blades, TOBS Almond cream, TOBS Luxury Aftershave, post shave balm from nivea.
Nice shave, this'll be my routine for the next few days so I can do a reasonable comparison of Super Max blades vs Wilkinson Swords before buying enough to last a year.
Prep: Hot shower Razor: Feather Artist Club RG (wood), Pro blade (5) Soap: Trumper's West Indian Limes Brush: New Forest Tubby 2 Balm: none Result: excellent: close, comfortable and unmarked.
Ah, the joys of a brush that suits you . Delightful on every level.
Out of interest, I set a timer running when I got out of the shower. Despite a relative long lathering time (the soap's not my fastest), for neck passes and a touchup, and absolutely no hurrying, it was still not that long a time - 16 minutes including all the drying and putting away. Definitely getting quicker, as you'd expect with more and more practice.
Posting in the right thread today for yesterday's shave - what a numpty.

Good close shave. Bit sore but my fault. Had never used this razor before and had to get it 'off my back' as Dodgy would say.

Excellent shave, snooker clean all over Brush's so nice and it's actually so large it keeps the lather warm longer, once it has been warmed up by the scuttle.
