BRUSH- Edwin Jagger - Badger
SOAP- MWF
RAZOR- Sheffield 6/8
AFTER- Nivea Sensitive Balm
THE SHAVE- Two Passes WTG. One pass combination of XTG / ATG

Prep - Hot water and warm flannel. Some cheap Asda shave oil (£1 and not bad)

Cream - Bluebeards Revenge
Razor - Boots £3.79 jobbiie
Blade - Gillete Bleue Extra
After - Alum, Prof Blighty's Red Ginger, then finally Clinique Post shave soother (Beard Control Formula)

Bit of a Eureuka moment today. Really enjoyed the shave. Don't know if this was the excellent Bluebeards which I used for the first time and lathered really well, or the blade which was the first time I'd tried one, or an improved technique.
Also heard that my EJ DE89 kit is back in stock and will be dispatched soon!

This morning:

Prep: Face wash, Imperial Leather bath soap
Razor: Feather Artist Club RG (wood), Pro blade (3)
Soap: Cella
Brush: Simpson Tulip T2 in two-band Super
Balm: Trumper's Skin Food, West Indian Limes
Scent: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet
Result: excellent

Nothing more to say on this one. Really good in every respect.

I have been absent for a while, partly due to being busy with work and partly because this place is bad for my wallet. ;)

Wednesday:

Simpson Colonel LE
Tabac soap
#21 Aristocrat
Astra SP blade

gem open comb micromatic
shavemac #25 silvertip
MWF
444 balm/ old spice 'classic' AS

really nice shave. used MWF for the first time in ages and was really impressed, it was the first soap i ever had and tbh was always a bit underwhelmed by the lather. i think my soap skills have improved since i last used it and got a great lather from it, and i think it was the first time ive used a silvertip on it.

Aristocrat 66
Gillette Super Stainless (2)
New Forest 2221
Nannys Citrus Zinger
Witch hazel
Prof Blighty Green Ginger AS

Thought I'd made a mistake not scuttle lathering (I just loaded the brush from the jar) but I still got a good enough lather for a BBS so that shows what I know.

Martin's AS is really excellent. It's left my skin feeling really soft. I made a mistake putting it in a mister though, trying applying it onto my upper lip with the mister and can still taste it half an hour later!

Despite using a very meh blade I got another decent shave with the Krona. It gives a lot of feedback and the weight balance, despite the plastic handle, is pretty good

Thursday:

Palmolive/Erasmic soap grated together in a bowl (Palmasmic or Erasmolive, can't decide on a name!)
Merkur 39c
Gillette 7 o'clock yellow (2)
Witch Hazel
Nivea ASB
T&H Trafalgar AS

Very smooth shave, nice!

Thursday

Muhle R41
Gillette Platinum (Swede) Blade
New Forest 2201 Brush
Trumper Rose Soap
Witch Hazel

Not used the Trumper Rose for a while. Very nice.

Ian

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields badger
'Webly'/Personna74 (NOS)
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)

BBS results,

Very quick shave today, one pass with minor clean up, super smooth. will be heading to the parcel force office a little later to pay my duty charges to the robbing fuckers called parcel force, they are holding my vintage new old stock Fon Golden Star straight razor hostage since it arrived from Japan over a week ago.
