SOTD: Saturday 9 March - Friday 15 March 2024.

Granuaile from Murphy and McNeil is starting to grow on me. I also have an error in this photo. I photographed the UK made London Bridge wrapper, but actually had the modern Gillette version loaded in the Yaqi Flipside razor. I think I like the vintage UK version better, but the Gillette one is not a bad blade. I had a very pleasant shave with it today.

I’ve been mainly working through Proraso Red for the last couple of weeks.

There’s a few shaves left in the tube, and I’ll persevere to get it finished whilst it still feels wintery,
which the scent particularly calls for.

Enjoy yours gents.

Razor: Prototype II
Blade: Prototype II , 1st use
Brush: Highlander Olive Wood Boti New Tuxedo
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: Acqua De Genova Wellbeing Soap Puck
Balm: Bart's Balm BEN KILBRECK Balm
Fragrance: Armani Aqua Di Gio EdT

My 2nd prototype cartridge was thankfully a better shave than the first, no ridiculous slimy lubrication and actually a fairly comfortable shave. I’m not going to convert back any time soon but this is fairly harmless- literally as it hasn’t left me with any irritation.
I found the difficult to lather soap kindly passed on by @Satanfriendly it was a little foamy at first but quickly turned into a smooth base not unlike a thinner SV soap finish, it feels good on the skin and like it’s doing you good!

Lovely lather and scent from this soap & matching splash combo. This brush is very nice!
This razor shaves very well too. The edge was buttery smooth and crisply keen. @507 shaves, my SR shave is getting better results than a DE...unimaginable a few years back...
