A much more comfortable Shave after the 1924 yesterday. Though the finish was not as close in the upper areas, the overall quality of finish was better as today I got the neck area cleared Very nicely.

SOTD: 14/01/2022

Razor: Gillette Tech
Blade: Astra SP, 3rd use
Brush: PAA Phantom Aerolite Synthetic Shaving Brush
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Menthol Soap
Soap: Lothur Juice
Aftershave: Tom Ford Black Orchid EDT
Balm: L’Oréal All In 1 Moisturising Cream Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

Third and final time with the Tech. I’ve seen the light, in Tech I trust! Another great shave and the Lothur Juice was a better scent lathered than from the tub. It’s easy to see why people love the Lothur! Wish there was a splash available.
Have a great day!

All good. The Tech continues to grow on me. it took me a while to find it‘s sweet spot,
but it does deliver wonderful shaves when you do.
Enjoy yours and stay safe gents.

I needed a shave today and after a bit of debate went for the Giesen & Forsthoff Timor 1353 razor. I had the choice of a KAI or a Shark Super Chrome blade and ended up using both!

The KAI blades are ever so slightly thicker and larger than standard blades and as I placed it into the Giesen & Forsthoff I had to crank it down, which was followed by pinging sounds as metal complained about being bent into shape. The blade gap and reveal were therefore larger than they would normally have been. I did a pass and a half like this and then replaced the blade with the Shark, for going ATG. Better safe than sorry!

Anyway, I’m not feeling lovely and clean again, with the Proraso Green and the Iced Pineapple making me feel chilled and clean. No need for any splash today. Lovely stuff.

Keep safe and enjoy your shaves!

Razor: Giesen & Forsthoff Timor 1353
Blade: KAI (3) and Shark Super Chrome (3)
Soap: Stirling Soaps Iced Pineapple
Brush: Yaqi Cavern Lake
Pre-shave: Proraso Green
Post-shave: None needed
Bowl: Face lather

I'm really tempted to get the ,Yaqi adjustable how does it compare with say... The Gillette Slim Adjustable?

Prep: Face wash with Nivea face wash
Pre: None
Razor: Supply - dot 3
Blade: Schick (5)
Brush: Razorock Barber 24mm
S Cream: Saponificio Bignoli - Lavanda Balsamica
Post: Castle Forbes - Lavender

Today's shave was meh. Disappointed by the razor, and shaving cream. Good that I have just a sample as the eucalyptus in it makes it unusable for me. Performance wise was ok but scent, not something I would go for. CF Lavender saved the shave from that point of view.

In terms of the razor I have been using the most aggressive plate for the last few days. Yes the shaves are more efficient but not comfortable. Dot 3 plate comes with a harshness the previous one did not have. As a conclusion it would be the middle plate for me.
Having said that I don't think the Supply is going to make it to my den. I am telling myself to be more exigent with my choices, so BST is going to see the Supply soon.

Have a great weekend everyone!
