All was going well,revelling in my first shave with Old Spice soap (NOS from the mid 60's I believe),what a soap!,smells great,lathers superb,and so silky smooth!...I went for the ATT as I have yet to get a really smooth shave from it,so I thought I would give it a try with the newly acquired Sputniks...Had a great shower,felt really good! (been ill for a week or two),then started the shave ritual....Ummmm!,now Im feeling REALLY good!,even the ATT feels smoother than it ever has!,and the Old Spice soap....Shaving heaven!,then,child 2,and Mrs DT kicked off over child 2 not taking her medicine (she's been ill too)...The atmosphere changed,but I was determined to enjoy the first shave in 3-4 days....Then Mrs DT barged into the bathroom,causing me to jump,and I cut myself so badly,I couldn't carry on...1 and half a pass in...Have been in a mood ever since,and still bleeding an hour later:mad:.
 
Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
Razor - GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf
Blade - GEM Personna SS (#2)
Brush - Omega 20106
Soap - Tabac
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix
Result - BBS

Seven days growth, no problem for the Clog Pruf, swept away like autumn leaves.
Really comfortable result.

Hot Water prep & massage with Coconut Oil
Louis French Hoe SE
Gem Stainless Blade x 2
Semogue Boar Brush
Wars Classic Shaving Cream (added Argan oil)
Organic Aloe Vera Gel
Dominican Bay Rum Aftershave Splash

Pulled out the OCMM today for the first time in over a year....The OCMM gets it awesome reputation because its not an easy razor to use...Its actually a very well behaved SE with a very Light Touch and the correct shaving angle of Almost Flat Against the Face...In terms of aggression I would say its sort of the Middle of the road which is contrary to popular opinion...That said the OCMM can turn into ta Brutal Ugly Monster and tear you face to pieces without the correct technique .I would suggest that if one can Master a Feather Like Touch with the OCMM then there will be no problem with any other razor..I enjoyed my shave today with the OCMM and ended up with a really smooth result with a BBS in most places...Two passes and a minor touch up cant be bad...Skin feels smooth and refreshed..:)

Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by Alt Innsbruck & Village Barber balm
It was so good this weekend I thought I'd repeat. Why change a good thing?
Fantastic 3-pass BBS.
