This weeks setup is simply everything in the photo. I'm doing this as I've not given the Lavender a fair crack at the whip, so a 7 day stint with the same setup is about due. This morning I prepped with hot towels and the scrub, and lathered up a storm after soaking the boar brush whilst I prepped. The lather whipped up a treat, and the possibly overbearing scent in the pot mellowed sufficiently to a pleasant aroma whilst applying the luxurious lather to my face. WTG, XTG and ATG passes achieved a sublime shave, with no dryness or tightness in the post shave. True, the scent is still a bit feminine for my liking, but that's not to say it is unpleasant. It's certainly a relaxing scent, perhaps better suited to the evening shave.

Saturday result? 5/5. A great shave all round, smooth, close, no drama.

Autumnal misty day so a spicy soap is the order of the day, finished off with a balm to protect the old mush. Have a chilled out weekend!

Everything went well until I managed to slice the top off a spot on my neck. Didn't even feel it until a red colouration started to seep through the lather. Still that's what styptics are for. Apart from that another magnificent shave with the 1914. Very comforting audible feedback telling me that it is slicing the hairs very efficiently.

SOTN - Sat, Day-3 Tabac-tober/OC-tober
Pre: Village Barber oil & Hot towels
Soap: Santa Maria Novella (Tobacco Toscano)
Brush: Thäter 4125/1 24mm 2-band fan
Razor: 1930's Gillette NEW long-comb, bar handle
Blade: Gillette "Spoiler" (1)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by Alt Innsbruck
Fantastic 2.5-pass BBS. This long-comb feels more aggressive than the short-comb, but in a good way.
Got a few tiny weepers which stopped themselves by the cold-water rinse. No sting with the ASL.

Quickie rasp this morning as in a hurry to get out to my wee brother's gairden (more of a brownfield site!)

Merkur 34c, Lab Blue
Omega S10083
Ingram
Blue Stratos
Astral

A bit rushed on the neck but it calmed down with Astral. A decent 7/10 job.

Lovely shave today:

Hot shower
Caties Bubbles Santal Sensuelle
Switchback 400 brush with Plisson head
Standard razor
Gillette Rubie (3)
BOOBS AS

Hot Americano

Now then, that's a unique approach to aftershave care but I can imagine the pleasure you got from it. I must admit, it has never occurred to me to have good face rub with a nice pair of BOOBS and I'm not sure how it would improve your skincare regime but by 'eck, I bet it did wonders for you in the pleasure stakes!
