SOTD : Saturday 31th July to Friday 6th August July 2021.

Missed that one. A most happy of birthdays to you Paul

A very Happy Birthday to you Sir.

And this evening's promptly reported shave came complete with the theme 'JITC'

Just a razor - Brass Colonial General
Justin the blade - Feather Super Professional
A brush with Justice - Alpha Wickhams Artic Fox
A justifiable soap - DR Harris Arlington
Just the tonic - Laboratory Perfumes Gorse

JITC. An acronym for the 'Japanese Italic Typing Corporation'. A now defunct Japanese company specialising in the manufacture of Italic typesets for mechanical typewriters. Or some kind of concept about timely deliveries. A paperboy?
https://giphy.com/1AHolv4clkPt1pxC5D Anyway, to make up for my previous abysmal punctuality I have made an extra effort this evening to deliver on time. So to save time it is straight down to the bare bones of it all

A bloody wonderful shave
https://giphy.com/27IHkmuxOY1CMxr2Uh Armpits included today

Nothing to do with Italic lettering but everything to do with my usual ending

Vintage Gillette Criterion Gold DeLuxe
Vintage Ever~Ready No. 1 with original horse hair
Vintage Gillette "Spoiler" Super Stainless blades
Stirling Bay Rum shave soap
Proraso Lozione after shave

Fantastic original horse hair, not moppy like modern crap, actually has scrub and scritch and backbone and perfect splay. Why can't they make them that way now? New stuff is crap!!!

Prep: Hot Shower
Brush: Zenith 507U XSE unbleached boar
Razor: GEM Micromatic Open Comb Gen 2
Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (3)
Lather: RazoRock - XXX - Soap
Post Shave: RazoRock - XXX - Aftershave

Another day another shave with the same setup. 2 passes for dfs+ result, and couple small weepers. Gem blade is slowly starting to calm itself - not as bitey monster as first couple of shaves.

Happy Belated birthday.

Happy Birthday

Wed 4 SR SOTD
Soap Arko Stick
Brush Yaqi 28mm Tuxedo
Razor GD 208 3rd
Post & Aftershaves Ice Water + Stirling Witchhazel Orange Chill + HA + Old Spice Original
Just a budget but reliable shaving soap that works...nice! Over-did a little today...
Another SR shave in the books! Razor's edge with pasted balsa strop is quite smooth and comfortable...while not efficient enough due to my techniques, I am satisfied in 3passes for a surprisingly dfs to ccs results.

Happy Birthday! Best wishes to your health...and shaving too!

It is those modern horses with all their fancy hair products makes them too soft .

Prep: Shower, Palmolive Olive Oil Soap,
Soap: Mastro Miche Artiglio
Brush: 24mm Yaqi Sagrada Familia Tuxedo
Razor: Fine Marvel
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Post: Alum, Witch Hazel, Baxter's Balm

Gillette blade put back in today, but I'm not clicking with the Marvel yet. Bit of razor burn on the neck and a couple of weepers, and I'm attributing this to the angle, which is not intuitive to me at all. I''ll decide tomorrow whether to persevere or retire it for a while and try again another time.
