SOTD SATURDAY 31ST OCT to FRIDAY 6th NOV 2015

Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
Razor - Gillette Ball-End Tech
Blade - Treet Platinum Super Stainless
Brush - Omega 20106
Soap - Arko
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix
Result - BBS

Back on the second blade trial again tonight. As always I use a Tech for the first dalliance with a blade. I found the Treet to be very like the Shark Super Stainless, in so much as the performance was quite mediocre. I needed a bit of buffing after three passes.
As with the Shark, I will use a much more aggressive razor for its second run, perhaps a Fatboy on 9. I still managed BBS without much bother, which is always good.

Gear:
Le Coq
Rapira
New Forest
Truefitt & Hill 1805
Humprey's Witch Hazel

The Le Coq OC DE mode I have is a rather aggressive razor - to the point where it sometimes doesn't feel comfortable. Unfortunately that's the feeling I had this morning.
It produced a close, nice result but the experience wasn't as smooth as I had hoped for.

Gem S/S [ 4 ]
Alum Rub/Myrsol Antesol A/S.

Sticking with the Streamline until I have a bit more Shave Mobility , again quality of shave is great. Perhaps so consistent ,that I feel a need a change of razor, I want to try a 1924 converted to take modern handle.Best be patient though.

Bulldog Face Wash
Meißner Tremonia Dark Lime Shaving Paste
Muhle Silvertip Fibre
Ever Ready Streamline w/Red Horseman Swing Handle
GEM Stainless [5]
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Witch Hazel Toner
Pinaud Lilac Vegetal (Vintage)
Attar

I make no secret of my love for Meißner Tremonia soaps. Dark Limes is mysterious blend, like regular lime but in a foggy, gas-lit kind of way. Pinaud Lilac Vegetal is a mysterious blend, especially the vintage; dark lilac?

Attar today has been a mysterious blend of Haramain Musk al Ghazal bringing a dark, sweet, licquorice and cacoa base with a hint of vanilla and caraway in a musky, woody base; Swiss Arabian Majmoua Gold, an earthy, spicy amber attar; Surrati al Khaleej, a citrus aromatic reinforcing the spice with coriander, white musk and floral, largely violet.
