Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Paladin Lotus Select Badger
Soap: Cold River Soap Works Oliva Fougère Green
Razor: Blackland Blackbird
Blade: Vintage NOS Gillette Platinum Swede (1)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, APR Festivus P&C 2018 LE Aftershave Lotion
Scent: Penhaligon's Castile EdT

A scintillating shave. The olive oil base of CRSW's Oliva is excellent, lathering easily and providing very good slickness and cushioning, and a lovely post-shave feel.
The scent is a delight - a clean fresh green fougère. The vintage Swede blade scythed down my four day growth smoothly and effortlessly, leaving me grinning.

Caught up with Brian from Signature Soaps yesterday and acquired a tin of his Capra Insuriam, a blend of tea tree, peppermint and lavender. Lather pretty much exploded and the scent is fabulous, really vibrant and zingy.
My recent routine, shaving every 7 to 10 days, starts with the wonderful Tedalus essence as a first pass and then a second pass / clean up with a de. Works really well for me, efficient and relaxing.
Have a great week all

Prep: Shower, Palmolive Olive Oil Soap
Soap: TDS Evergreen Juniper
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Sagrada Familia Tuxedo
Razor: Gillette Tech
Blade: Gillette Super Blue (1)
Post: Kayaput ASL

Amazing shave from the criminally neglected Tech, and the equally sidelined Juniper soap. I've apologised to both, and upgraded the Tech to "official travel razor" status and informed it that it will be accompanying me north of the border next week. I'm happy that it's perfectly normal to talk to shaving paraphernalia - it's only when it answers back you need to start worrying....;)

Sun 20th February

Alpha G4 Syn 28mm
Vitos Super Red
Claymore Evolution
Schick Proline ( 11 )
Tuff Red A/S Lotion

This Razor/ Blade combo is working so well. Now completed Eleven smooth and comfortable Shaves, and have managed to get top notch finishes on nearly every one.Had a bit of a blip at 8 and thought the blade was finished but obviously me not concentrating enough.

Apologies, my first post in a while, as real live intervened. :( Anyway, I had a what many may consider a “bog-standard” shave this morning. Nothing expensive at all. But altogether it was very smooth and satisfying.

Stay safe and enjoy your shaves.
