Another a cracker
These soaps are a bit soft for my liking however what’s the point of even saying that really,
surely it’s all to do with their performance and it’s definitely up there with the best of them.
Everything about the shave was class.
Oh & another CCS
The Razor was the first DE i ever had apart from hand me downs from my dad.
The wife bought this for me around 5 years ago and i pretty much used it extensively until i discovered this forum & youtube.
I Genuinely didn’t want to get caught going down the rabbit hole but now i’m that far in the closet i feel like i’m bumming Narnia :ROFLMAO:.
The Razor itself is very efficient,
why i picked it for this shave i’ll never know as i have used it in around 3 years.
The Brush is a little beauty,
Bought on that very exclusive site Boycie Emporium lol.
A brilliant little brush that lathers extremely well.
Finished off with the wonderful @Bartsbalms.
Onwards & Upwards

This afternoon -

razor - Blackland Vector (on loan)
blade - Feather Pro (12 - weird, it now appears to have got sharper.)
brush - Yaqi Cola 22mm synth (not the faintest idea of what sort of knot.)
soap - Ach Brito - Mogno
post - witch hazel
a/s - Brut - Attraction Absolute (I wish they would put a bastarding flow regulator in the neck of the bottle.)
balm - BBA.

Superb - a communally inspired/enabled shave. Cheers @hotmetal for reminding me that I hadn't used this great soap in a while. Thanks @Boycie83 for donating the blade and @Paul L - not only am I using his razor, he kindly gifted me the Mogno. Gentleman all. Selah - I.

Rooney 1/2 Ebony Finest (24/57)
Ethos Grooming Vanilla Safi shaving soap (+ a few drops of aroma blend)
Carbon Mokume-gane Brass/R2 Copper
Schick Super Stainless (Chrome) (15)
Crabtree & Evelyn Sienna aftershave (vintage)

An excellent shave. The soap made wonderful lather, as always. The blade was starting to drag just slightly, noticeable but not enough to affect the shave. I may be able to get a couple more shaves out of it. And the aftershave was great, especially followed by Issey Miyake Nuit d'Issey Noir Argent. I think they share some spice, leather, and citrus notes.

Brush - Omega S Brush 24mm
Soap - TDS Kosmetika Sandalwood
Razor - Merkur 37c Slant
Blade - Willy's Premium #2
Post - Mennen Skin Bracer & Barts Balm Grapefruit & Pink Pepper
An exceptional shave that.
Brush whisked up a great lather. Soap can hold a ton of water so the lather was super slick and shiny.
Razor worked flawlessly with the blade - 3 lush passes.
Post shave was worthy of everything that came before.
Take care all and enjoy your shaves

  • Prep: Hot water face wash, Proraso white preshave cream
  • Brush: Yaqi 26mm mysterious space tuxedo
  • Razor: Gillette super speed flare tip
  • Blade: Gillette silver blue (2)
  • Lather: Noble Otter - Rawr - Soap
  • Post Shave: RazoRock - XXX - Aftershave
  • Fragrance: Montale Ristretto Intense Café
3 pass shave this morning. All nice and good - no weepers and no irritation.

Sample exploration continues - last two days it was Eigengrau (or however you spell that) by B&M. Today it was turn of Noble otter that I had lingering around.

Bowl lathering again since I find it quite a bit easier with samples. Good soap all in all - I must say the scent really comes out when lathered. Lather quality is great too - there's nothing to go against it.

Not sure whether this razor is a keeper. It's my third or so shave with it and I find it quite picky about the angle - seems to require more of top cap riding than I am used to (or prefer). It might end up being moved on.

Brush: AP Lemon Drop
Soap: Stirling Ramblin Man
Razor: CB Karve Brass (D)
Blade: Gillette 7 SS (1)
Post: Cold Water and Stirling Ramblin Man

I honestly don't know why I didn't try these Stirling soaps earlier, an extremely long lasting soap with great scents and excellent performance. I would say I need to branch out into more of their stuff but I'm trying (and failing) to operate a one in one out rule.

Excellent shave and ready for the day ahead!

Hope everyone has a grand one.

Cheers

Marc
