Brush BOTI 26mm Fan Silvertip
Razor P Hospital Le Grelot Thiers
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel MitA + Clubman Whiskey Woods
Excellent lather from the soap. So easy to whip up and it was nicely creamy & slick...perfect for SR...!
Another enjoyable shave in the book! This razor is just excellent! The edge was keen yet smooth and comfortable after putting it through the full pasted balsa progression. 3+passes for a nice bbs/dfs result. Aftershaves were great too.

Brush: C&H 'Longtown'
Soap: DG Apogee
Razor: CB Karve Brass (E)
Blade: Astra SP (3)
Post: Cold Water and DG Apogee

Either I got the angle wrong this morning, this E plate is too much, or more likely this blade was done before I started. Afterwards it felt like I'd had a cheese grater doing its thing. I'll give it another bash tomorrow with a fresh one.

Hope everyone has a grand kick off to the weekend!

Cheers

Marc

SOTD: 16/10/2021

Razor: Hone 15
Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless, 2nd use
Brush: ZENITH Unbleached bristle chrome handle 2000 C XSE
Prep: Shower and Baxter face scrub
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: PAA High Jump 47 Puck
Aftershave: PAA High Jump 47 Aftershave
Balm: Bart’s Balm Sample Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

I love this PAA soaps warming scent and splash, it also lasts for ages. It was a BST gamble that really paid off. A super smooth shave as usual from the Hone except for a user error when I managed to somehow get a nick on nose! Pulled razor away from the underside of my nose when shaving my lip. Touched/nicked the nose! It’s seems to be the theme of the week for me, I didn’t nick myself this much when I started shaving! Definitely need a break, off for a couple week’s thankfully to recuperate!

Sat 16th October

The Grosvenor 404mixed
Lea Classic soap
Schick I1
Schick S/S Twin- Japan ( 3 )
Lea Classic A/S Lotion

I am lucky to have acquired some Schick Twins before the cost escalated. I had an excellent Shave today with one in the compact Schick I1, makes a change from using the LH models which are the most commonly associated with Twin blades.

The PAA soaps and brushes are excellent, and created another rich lather this morning. The Katana produced a close reasonably comfortable shave.
