SOTD 13th March
Brush - Yaqi Sagrada Familia - dependable as ever
Soap - Catie's Bubbles Midnight Dreary- subtle, earthy scent accompanies quality lather
Razor - Merkur 37c - my one-time No1 razor
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue#2 - a go-to blade
Post - Barts Balm Lavender - fantastic performer

Great 3 passes results in a near BBS.
Enjoy the rugby over the weekend, stay safe and enjoy your shaves.

...mine started today with a too hard boar brush that did a lousy job to lather the Cyril Salter hard soap, combined with a Derby that did not do its' job to cut the hair, but started to irritate the skin...
So course correction re-lathering with the Yaqui Sagrada and blade change to Astra Green on the AAT S1.
Did not end with the foreseeable disaster, but with a decent shave and a bit of irritation.
I think I'll ditch my boar brush, I start not seeing the point of using it when the Yaqui can lather any soap or cream.
With the Derby will be the first and last experience.
That's part of the learning curve (and the fun).
Great weekend!

A busy morning today so my shave was later than usual, i did not want to rush it and decided to wait so i could take my time, i was rewarded with some very nice bathroom time.
I face lathered with the HWF today and very nice it was too, the Jayaruh's #291 Maggards knot is probably my stiffest Synth, loads of backbone and picks up soap very easily, just adding drops to the tips of the brush to get a nice super slick covering ready for the shave.
I completed my 2 pass shave routine with a little touch up on the whirlpools, the result is a surprising BBS finish, i was not even trying for it.
A nice post shave to finish so i was ready for todays Rugby - Wales are just too strong for the Italians today and are playing really well, good 1st half.
Stay Safe and enjoy your Day All.

What make is the brush?

If it is new then it might take some time to break in.
