Dug out the 444 for a change, lovely smooth shave. Had a Gillette Green in the Portable which gave an ok shave but it's completely different with a Bleue in.

great shave so I thought I would push the boat out with balm, what a mistake! it stung more than a splash, brought out all the reddness making it look like a poor shave, and even though washed of my skin is still burning 2 hours later, not nice.

Aftershave: Wilkinson Sensitive Balm

My first shave with a Schick Type E injector, what a surprise, this little razor looks like an innocuous prop for a scene in a dolls house; how wrong could I be.

I found this razor really quite aggressive, much more so than my type I which is the only other Schick I own. It gave me an incredibly close shave but with three tiny weepers caused by me using too much pressure and not giving the razor the respect it seems to command. I shall be aware next time and I expect a perfect shave without any weepers.

Day 3 of the Chinese blades, 3rd day for this blade, which was obviously a day too many as it was quite tuggy, but I persevered as I couldn't be bothered to change blade mid shave. A reasonable shave, not the best though, A good application of Bay Rum calmed my face down afterwards.

Today, a "full" Aqua Velva shave!

Pre Prep + Williams lanolin shaving cream + Kent BK8 Silvertip + UFO U2 Long with Merkur 20c head and Iridium Super #5 + Aqua Velva splash with LEA balm + Aqua Velva cologne

It's always a pleasure to use this Kent with any cream! A shame that this Williams shaving cream with Aqua Velva scent and lanolin was discontinnued, because is far better than the current one.

And the UFO handle works really well with this Merkur head, it provides with a delightful "precise" touch. Anyway, I prefer to use this Aqua Velva splash with a mentholated balm like this LEA, the combination stings less and refresh much more, hehe.
