One of those shaves that reminds you why you started all this faffing about!
Day and a half of stubble whisked away and a really clean BBS achieved.
The Aristo and Polsilver work really well together and I managed to do two WTG passes on the top half of my face with the Feather without slicing myself.
Very pleasing.

Unidentified soap in a puck. Yummy though.

No zipping today. Just the fairly noiseless efficiency of the slant getting rid of two days worth.
I looked out of the window and its harvest time here. A bit late this year due to the wet spring. The cycle of growth and reaping captured in my smoothly mown reflection.
A voice broke my silent reverie.
"M will see you now 007"

Thayer's Witch Hazel
The usual Tabac lather explosion. The scent is still lingering slightly 2 hours after the shave, but it's subtle, and it's a scent that I find quite comforting.

A couple of weeks into this DE lark and enjoying it immensely so thought it best to start posting on SOTD.
Hot shower prep then 1/2 sink full of hot water
EJ DE89L with Personna Super Platinum Chrome (Red Personna?)
EJ Super Badger Medium Brush
TOBS rose cream face lathered
Cold water rinse then a good dip in a sink full of cold water
Alum
Witch Hazel
Smidgen of Astral cream
Three passes and a wee touch up in one or two problem areas. Result is a grand close shave and much better than I was achieving with the TOBS faux ivory Mach 3. I got better results with my TOBS wooden-handled Sensor Excel than the Mach 3 so that was always a backward step. Nice and smooth physog but I think I need just a wee bit of the alcohol burn afterwards so looking for to the Bronnley aftershave coming. Use the alum as deodorant too.

Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Omega 39 Boar
Cream: TOBS Sandlewood
Aftershave: Dove Sensitive Balm
A lovely shave with the Fatboy on five throughout, I had nearly forgotten just how pleasant these Iridium blades are to shave with, there are still many blades I would like to try but these seem to be just about a perfect combination of smoothness/sharpness. What a shame they are discontinued...........or are they?

Razor: Thiers-Issard "basic black", 11/16"l
Brush: New Forest High Mountain Badger
Cream: Taylor's Lemon and Lime
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Yellow Ginger
Scent: L'Occitane Verveine
Not the razor I'd laid out for the day, but the postman knocked just as I finished lathering up, so straight out of the box (from IanM) and on the strop it went.
Lovely shave. First time I've used the scent: it, too, is very nice indeed.
