Prep: Washing the face
Brush: SOC two band
Razor: Mappin and Webb, My trustworthy
Soap: Fitjar, Neroli
AS: TOBS Victorian Lime + Tiger face tonic
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Uberclean :D

Face lathered with the Fitjar cream (seems the best way with Castle Forbes and I think they feel like close relatives in both quality and texture) and it was nice and with some more practice I'll prob get it real good. Razor performed stunning!

Greetings,

Tuesday 28th August 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready Streamline
Blade: Modern GEM Coated
Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed
Soap: Trumpers Violet
Aftershave: Dove Sensitive Balm

I have been away since Friday in the tent, I did have one shave in luke warm water with little prep using my Lord L6 and it was a pretty poor old job!

Waiting for me upon my arrival home today was the ER Streamline and Stropper, it cleaned up in seconds with a simple Fairy liquid scrub and I used it there and then. It cut my three days worth of stubble easily and quite gently, I did not find it aggressive, in fact I felt it to be one of the gentler single edged razors. The finish on this model is without doubt the best of all the GEM's/ Ever Ready's that I have seen.

Didn't manage too well with the Trumpers Violet hard soap, I generated a thin weedy lather that collapsed in under a minute or so, clearly too much water. I washed out the brush and started again much dryer and with a hugely better result.

Regards
Dick

I do like the noise this razor makes. A sort of zipping noise.
Like a zip.
When you zip it.
Up or down.
ZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPP.
Like that.
Zippy.

Yrs Slack.

Damn, it's my favorite mongoose,

The heck's goin on over there Slimbo? Been waaaay too long since your last post. I heard disturbing rumors.....something about the triple dose of Viagra having a bad reaction and you developing a case of total alopecia. I mean everywhere. Whew, looks like it was only temporary after all.

You may have noticed the Yankees have pretty much crowded out most of the Limeys and other foreign types. Bunch of new threads started with topics like baseball, Nascar auto racing, and guns......lots of gun talk. Oh yeah, there's a separate thread on chewing tobacco and spitting. I love that one.

Damn boy! Don't be a stranger. I don't understand your humor, but I like the cupcake recipes you provided when you posted more often.

Origin Best Gold Steel in Ebony restored by UKRob
Muhle Silvertip Fibre 21mm Horn
L'Occitane Cade shaving soap
Nivea for Men sensitive face care hydro gel

A few days off shaving but the Origin was a pleasure. Rather than balm I'm trying the Nivea for Men sensitive face care hydro gel. It's a moisturizer but it says you can apply it to your whole face. First time on using it on my just shaved areas and it feels nice and soothing. As always, we'll see what it feels like come shave time tomorrow!
