This razor's special, really cool design (I think) combined with excellent shaving abilities :D

Razorock XXX + Vulfix 2234 + UFO U2 Long with Gillette New head and Astra blue #2 + Myrsol Agua de Limón + Razorock Wax Eucaliptus

A superb shave! It's incredible how easy is to get a fast and creamy lather from this soap, no problem with any brush no matter how soft/floppy could be.

And a good contrast between the freshness of Myrsol and the warm calming sensation of this Wax

Cheers!

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep;

'Webly'Wilkinson Super Sword Edge (NOS)
Muhle Sea Buckthorn SC
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Jacomo de Jacomo EdT (1990s version) http://www.basenotes.net/ID26120853.html

I rarely ever use creams but somehow acquired some Muhle stuff recently. I've used the sea buckthorn soap before with good results.

It's good.....can't tell for sure what's up after only a single shave but I enjoyed the one so far. Scent is milder than the soap, which is kind of a shame.....not quite as fruity.

This EdT was my signature frag for 15 years or maybe longer. Started in the early 80s and my kids still remark whenever I wear it. I stopped using any EdT at all for a good 10 years after that time. This goofy assed 'hobby' woke that damn monkey right up, but now with a much larger appetite. Sheeesh.

Saturday:

Afternoon, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock dark blue Super Platinum (1)
Brush: Soap Shed Super Badger
Shaving cream: Penhaligon's Endymion
A/S: Dr Blighty's Endymion shave lotion

A good, close start to the weekend. Although the Super Platinum cut well, it didn't feel as smooth as its green and yellow cousins. Maybe that'll change over the week.

well this one turns up sort of ( the vile tax man has got me with this razor BASTARD
......and I even had to pick it up at the sorting office  ) so thats £12.94p in his pocket

SATURDAY MORNING

Leresche 77
Astra Platinum
Beejay Amber with TGN 2 band
Myrurgia stick
Witch hazel
Institut Karite balm
Lots of styptic pencil

Ok, lessons learned from this morning:

1 - The Leresche does not suit an aggressive blade like the Astra
2 - I should avoid going ATG until I have the hang of it
3 - Nicking your upper lip causes it to bleed like a bastard!

Saturday:

Muhle R41
Derby blade
DR Harris Windsor cream
Penhaligons brush
DR Harris Windsor aftershave splash

Odd shave in a way. Derby blade seems to tame R41 and the whole thing feels more benign, less sharp, not sure that's a good thing.

Managed three passes including ATG which you'd not get away with were it a sharper blade. Still, i'm smooth so what am I moaning about? Good smells again.

L Oreal charcoal formula face wash
Erasmic old formulation coconut oil shaving cream
Omega Syntex 90065 shaving brush
Edwin Jagger Chatsworth barley razor
Timor razor blade
Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn aftershave lotion.

A close shave. I have had doubts about the Timor blade, but this one's okay. The shaving brush lathers really well, considering it is a bit floppy and splayed, but holds it really well. I shaved with 3 passes, the third pass above the jaw line only.

Floris No. 89

I enjoy mixing up my aggressive open combs with my milder razors. A lovely, smooth face after only two passes with this superb Tech - mild or otherwise. I'm dead pleased with my shaving kit at the moment.

Played two hockey matches today (had to cheekily double up for the 3s) so I'm knackered tonight. The chilli con carne and a pint at the clubhouse did absolutely wonders.
