vintage Marshall Fields badger (rebranded two band Simpsons)
1970s L type Schick injector/Gillette Platinum Plus (1970 NOS)
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Barbershop Bay Rum AS
St Johns Bay Rum cologne
Popped a fresh blade in this black handle L type and got a very good shave with this combo. Very fun change of pace.

After reading the book Arrowhead posted, varied my usual routine: soap instead of modern "face wash", and let the first round of lather sit a couple of minutes, having massaged it in, before reapplying to start the shave proper. Don't really know if it helped, though the first pass was especially good. These shaves just keep getting better - utterly comfortable and damned near BBS, just a hint of sensation ATG.

Very, very smooth result today. Feathers are back on the menu after some 10 months, and what a great blade. Vedron adds to the experience, minty fresh.

Todays shave a bit early as i'm off to a wedding later on today, the feather AS-D1 made mince meat of my two days growth, super smooth two pass shave, the only trouble the wedding is in Brecon 20 miles from home so i'm the driver and no drinking for me such a shame, but still i.m really looking forward to the Hog roast and the crispy crackling.

D R Harris Arlington cream
PAL injector razor
Schick plus platinum blade on right side of face (1990), PAL injector blade on left side of face (1950s?)
Proraso pre- and post- as a post-shave balm
Couldn't decide between testing a fourth shave with the Schick or starting a fresh PAL blade, so did both!! Schick was good but for the first pass the PAL was skipping and dragging across the face badly. It did settle and produced a decent shave in the end.
The Proraso is very soothing and comforting. Getting near the end of my 500ml tub - excellent excuse to buy more (although I do have another tub! Sssh!)
