Have to say . . . not too shabby. Not too shabby at all.

He thought he was out, but then ... :D

A chap can get bored. For instance, I'm actually considering buying a razor again. That is, I once owned one, sold it, and am thinking of getting another.

Logic? What's that got to do with anything?

  • EJ87 with Gillette 7 O'Clock (yellow)
Borrowed the razor from 'our kid' while he test-drives a couple of new ones. Have to say . . . not too shabby. Not too shabby at all.

The faff is calling Vinny,
Resistance is futile!

Would be good to get Vinny back from the dark side!

Vintage PAL Hollow Ground carbon steel blade
Fatboy on 4
TOBS Shaving Shop cream

Tugged and skipped. Shame. Tried in Merkur 38R. marginally better but had to give up and use Rapira in the 38R again. Try different angle next time.

Blades PIFfed from erik1963. Always wondered about these. Nice to get a chance, and for free! What a guy!

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Vinny's been looking at a Merkur Progress.

I've used just about every razor out there during the 4 years I've been 'dabbling' but I only had about 3 shaves with an old Progress when they were still being made with wonky heads and quickly gave it up.

On the bus, off the bus.

Got this razor a while ago from eBay; pulled it down on Sunday, gave it a bit of a polish up with Autosol and honed it tonight. Another great wee shaver - I'll give it a proper clean/sanding down at some point when I've finished my current restoration project.
