Haven't used the Ikon for a while and forgotten how good a razor it was, really like MWF and have no problems with hard London water get a great slick lather. No ASB for a change.........
DFS with 2 passes.
The sun is out and everything is good in my world........... :cool: ;)

Been somewhat absent from here recently. Work is tough. But sat, hey it should be straight day but I need some easy comfort so defaulting to DE.

Music: church of misery - Red ripper blues.

Pre: hangover, so soak in bath. Nannys patchouli soap.
Brush: NF 2221
Soap: MWF
Razor: 57 Flair tip super speed
Blade: shark SS (1)
Post: Ogalalla BR with limes and peppercorns.

It burns, but I smell great and my skin feels fantastic.

I love this brush and blade and ... :D A good one!

Lovely lavender scent on the soap lathered up a treat for two passes and a touch up on the face and a head shave. Think I poured out a bit too much from the EDT sample, going to have to have an exclusion zone around me down the pub.

Eucris was the only scent out of a GFT sampler that I just didn't like at all - all I got from it was stale ashtray. Must have reacted unusually with my skin.

Didn't shave yesterday after a bit of a disaster with the bathroom sink, found out that the overflow was not connected to the wastepipe and ended up flooding the bathroom :evil: So off to local plumbers to buy new bits and install. To top it all off nearly forgot I had a date down The Bridge, but just made it in time for KO.

On to today's shave. Not good, not good at all :( Just can't seem to get a consistent lather with the T&H soap. Had to reload with soap after every pass :eek: Now not sure if it was down to poor lather or the blade but ended up with quite a bit of post shave irritation which has not been soothed by either the WH or the balm, will apply more balm before I go out. Having said all that it is a very close shave.

result: a 3 pass shave, + touch up, no irritation at all, and very smooth. Off to see the family for sunday lunch :D
 
Sunday and my first SOTD post

Had a really nice shave with this setup:
Edwin Jagger ED89 with Bic Chrome blade
Edwin Jagger Best badger brush
Geo F Trumper Limes shaving cream
Taylor of old bond street

Took a shower and some hot towel as pre treatment, and finished of with a moisturizer. Really nice sunday and shave! :)
