Thursday evening

Hot shower
NF 2211
Nanny's Yushu
Gillette Aristocrat
Shark blade (1)
TOBS Sandalwood AS

First use of the Yushu, lathered very well - it seemed better than the Lavender and Citrus Zinger I have, but maybe it was just one of those things.

It would be a job to improve on tonights shave in honesty.

Got home from work today to find a parcel of blades pif'd from Man of leisure ( many thanks! :) ). Since I didn't shave this morning, I decided to grab a shower, during which time I plucked up the courage to try a fabled Feather blade!
I left my futur set at 1.5 and cautiously went to work... WOW! What a difference from the Merkur blades, easily the closest shave I have ever had!
I have not yet shaved with a DE without niking myself but I can honestly say that these blades were no worse than the Merks, although they did burn a little bit more.
The area I have been struggling with - my chin - is where the most improvement has been noted!

Thursday

Valet Autostrop
Valet blade
Nanny's New Spicy cream sample

Pinaud Clubman AS Lotion

Day 3 of the trial of the New Spicy cream; bowl-lathered this time and using an SE razor.

Thursday Night:

This is one of my favorite razors - the master's razor from Connecticut. Done up on the Shapton Glass stones to 30K. Smooth and simple. :D My ladies voted unanimously for Bay Rum, not that I would ever turn it down...

Cream: Olivia's Bay Rum
After shave lotion: Olivia's Bay Rum
Brush: Penworks
Strop: Kanayama 50,000

Friday

Merkur 38c
Shark Super Chrome Blade
New Forest 2201 Brush
Proraso Cream
Alum
L'Occitane Cade Aftershave Balm

The original Proraso really is the dog's wedding tackle.

Weekend coming up, and you know what that means....straight razor time!! Prepare to hear me swearing and whining.

Ian

Friday morning

Hot towel
T+H Ultimate Comfort pre oil
Body shop maca root cream
Edwin Jagger black badger
Merkur 34C HD, Gillette 7 o'clock yellow (1)
Cold rinse, alum
Body shop Kistna AS balm

Smooth and fragrant. Good rersults, despite one nick, first in over a week, as a result of not taking enough time. Alum soon sorts that out.

Good luck with the straight this weekend Ian!

Friday

Gillette Mach 3
Simpsons 57 2 band Super
Palmolive
Thayers
Arlington cologne

I think Palmolive has just become my go to soap and Mach 3 looks like it could go another week.

MWF Hand Soap,
GFT Limes SF as prep,
GFT Lime SC,
Simpson Colonel,
Dovo 5/8,
Alum Block,
GFT Limes SF,

Friday

Result: Very, very clean :D
Had to bring this one out, was going to take my Boker, but this one was screaming for my attention. Lather was perfect, plenty enough for both face and head. Nannys new name´s Soap Alchemist, hmm, I was used to Nanny
