Yes, it's quite unlike anything else in my collection, and I haven't felt inclined to do anything with it except the honing. Glad you found another! Today's Henckels is quite a beauty by the way, bird's eye maple?

Thank you! No, oak I´ve been told, but it looks very light for that and with very nice grains/spots that doesn´t look like oak...

Provence Santé - Semogue 2010 Custom Boar - Merkur 34C - Gillette Bleue (1) - Alt Innsbruck - Bulldog Post Shave Balm


I'm easily led. A bit of chatter about this soap, razor and aftershave over the last few days, so I decided I'd give them a run out together. The result, very pleasant.

My skin was a little dry after the shave, so I used a touch of the Bulldog balm, which is one of the few balms that don't leave my skin feeling greasy or irritated.
 
Thursday morning
Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Henks 21 mm silvertip
Razor: C V Heljestrand 11/16
Superlather: Henks Vetiver and Sandalwood + Topsecret
AS: Pacao Rabanne Ultravilote
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Uberclean, what a razor! :D

Was feeling in a palmolive mood.

Two passes (WTG and XTG) feeling nice and clean and a nice splash of aftershave and feel as fresh as a dasiy. :cool:

Another excellent shave using this head with a different handle than yesterday. Nice to find another razor that works so well with the Feather blade.

First time using Sharks in the de87: While not feeling quite as smooth as Treet Platinums, they were wonderfully efficient - the 1st pass alone would have been perfectly acceptable. Two further passes yielded very, very clean results. Another quality shave :D .

Summary: Those ancient and huge Friodurs are wonderful shavers. Now, after some learning, I can give a decent edge to the razors,...but this "coticulized" Friodur has surprised me, very sharp but really smooth....I have enjoyed a wonderful shave with my beloved boar LE from Semogue and the best MWF lather.
