Thursday

Merkur Futur
Feather
MWF
Simpsons Commodore X1
Boots Distilled Witch Hazel
Gillette Series Intense Cooling balm
Cella cologne

The Commodore is a lovely brush for soaps - the superb lather production / holding of a badger with the stiffness of a bristle. Oodles & oodles of rich, creamy lather in seconds when face-lathering.

Wednesday night

Following an evening walk in the Old City, a shower and a shave.

ESPA mud as pre during shower

Merkur 37C / Astra Superior Platinum

D.R. Harris Almond stick / Semogue Owners Club

Logona organic face toner / Speick after shave cream

Thursday evening.

40's style superspeed
Red IP (1)
Pecksniff's Oriental soap
Brut lotion
Kent H8

Not used the superspeed for going on nine months I think, as it's been out converting. Forgot just how much I like this razor. It was my first de and I recall being rather concerned the first time I used it. Now it seems like I couldn't hurt myself with it if I tried. It done a great job on a few days growth.

Nice

Friday,

Went for it today, thought let's push it because I've the weekend to recover.

Merkur HD
Personna Red (2)
EJ BBB
TOBS Eton College
Boots witch Hazel
Brut AS

result, the smoothest shave yet! Shame about the irritation but still the irritation isn't as bad as few weeks ago My did it string though when the brut went on!

Gave the gillette slide a go and a bit of blade buffing which helped at the cos of weepers (first this week) and irritating.

Have a great week end.

Friday

Gillette Gold Tech
Iridium
New Forest 2201
Penhaligon's English Fern Soap
Old Spice Whitewater a/s

Very nice, indeed.

Friday:

Hot towel
Polaar pre-shave
Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort cream
New Forest 2201
Merkur Futur
Derby blade (day 2)
Pecksniffs Citrus ASB
Truefitt & Hill West Indian Limes cologne

The Polaar pre-shave, which is a gel, was a sample from Nkd Man with my recent order. Their service is excellent, and I'm happy to recommend them. This is the second day of my first experience of a Derby blade, and it seems to give a good shave. A pack of them were in the sample pack from Connaught's, and I've picked up some fairly significant negative vibes about them but I suppose we're all different.

I really like the T&H Ultimate Comfort cream, which lathers well using Fido's excellent brush. It's three days since I last managed to nick myself as well, and I'm getting some really good shaves with next to no irritation. I'm not getting over-confident, though!

Have a good weekend, guys.

Regards

Ian

Pre: Hot shower
Razor: Wade and Butcher, finest indian steel
Brush: Ikon 24 mm silvertip chubby
Soap: Nannys LE Yushu
Post: Proraso
AS: Old Spice Fresh Lime
Strop: Neill Miller linnen/buffallo 30/50
Result: Still clean after five hours

I love this blade, it´s a hollow but feels and behave like a wedge. The brush is so dense I don´t think it´s broken in yet and I´ve had it for four month now
