It might have been first shave with new blade or it may be that Valobra isn't as cushioning as I remember it being. Had a few ropey moments and a weeper............. all sorted out by the OS Lime of course.

LoL, she looks like a friend of ours, didnt realise she was swedish, hope she doesn't mistake this forum for her arm pit shaving forum (well DE's would be better than nothing that she uses at the moment)

Used the Bakelite for the first time this morning. I had read before I purchased it that the head angle was different than most so went with a Yellow. A few tiny nicks but this was due to me, and that angle being slightly different to what I am use to. Lovely shave very smooth, and I love the Limes & Peppercorn. May have to "invest" in another Merkur at some stage if the Bakelite is anything to go by.

Soap: Boots shave stick
Post: drop of no7 balm mixed with TOBS bay rum.
Great razor, great brush and the soap was pretty decent too.
Only thing that let this one down was the blade. Not sharp enough for me! It was smooth though.
