Semogue brushes

John,

You're only limited to few models. Besides Shoebox I don't know of any other vendor that has sh*t load of brushes. Give THESE guys a shoot ( no way in hell they'll be doing business with US anytime soon ) you might have better luck-for your sake I hope they cater to UK clientele. Send Isabel M. my regards. They have some nice looking Argos I've been wanting to pick up but not available elsewhere. If you think you've seen all the Smogues think again this one Boar fiend went ape sh*t after seeing quite handful of them. I wouldn't blame him either.

BTW what do you think of layout of the specs of brushes?

Lovely well made good value brushes. These are the 1305 on the left and the 2009 limited edition. I confess to a badger preference and I have passed on the 1305 so the LE will stay in very good condition.

Brushes do make fine ornaments - a pity they gather dust, so mine stay in one of my bookcases.

They barely look broken in. Which do you prefer between the two based on your premature impression? Moment I looked at the LE I knew it wasn't going to work so got rid of it. It's packed to the max. I wouldn't blame you if you let your LE collect dust it's worthless.

The 1305 is a great brush. The LE is a bigger heavyweight brother which I have now used a few more times since posting the earlier pics. It's an effective brush with soaps - but I simply prefer badger brushes.

Here's the LE 2009 today:

I kind of like Semogue's production brushes, but what really bugs me about them as a company is the fact that they only make their really decent brushes limited editions, and at inflated prices, which then seem to sell out in a day or two.

I've missed out on two really nice brushes lately, (the blue handled boar and the LE badger) whose specs are right on the money for me.

C'mon Semogue, let's see regular production of these LEs - I'm betting they would sell like hot cakes.

John

Is this blue-plugged 830 you speak of John?

What brush is that on the left SiR ed8?

Also do you still have a ed8? If so id love to see pics of it!

That's a shot of my two new brushes. The one on the left is the Semogue LE 2010, only 100 were made and they're all sold out now unfortunately.

Love it! Nice choice of wheels there Ivan. Bronze TE37's and Mugen RNR's.

My source of vtec was this...

A JDM ek9. I had to sell her though as my daily commute tripled so had to get a diesel.

Good eye but being the performance oriented I was I wanted save up for a motor and went inexpensive with wheels those were Rota Grids and Tenzo R ( both wheels 15x6.5 the real deal as you know is 15x7 ) wrapped with Falken Ziex ZE-512 rode on Intrax springs, KYB-GR2s and Greddy ( Trust in JDM land ) SP2, Ver-5 steering wheel as well as aftermarket alarm after theft.

Your EK9 > ED8 hands down.

If you posted that on HT you'd get 10 pages worth of fanbois with

Clean
Love the white wheels bro!
I'd love to have that motor...

Your Recaros are no joke. My buddy had set in his DC5 and they hug and secure you well. It's a shame when the JDM cars make their way in the US they get downgraded be it from options, features, trim levels and motor. In latest SOA wanted to cater to American Fat asses for STi's Alcantara seats aren't bolstered as well as your Recaro and I move side which isn't ideal. I managed to sit in a ver 5/6 and 7 seats and like your Recaro they're golden! One of them had the black contoured support:

Can't find pic but this is similar to my buddy's on his RS.

Believe it or not I still miss the ED8 even after having an STi can you believe that? They're just hot on cop/thieves list-my main reason for getting rid of the ED8.

They look spot on, i find it how fascinating how JDM, ukdm and usdm cars are all very different. Our ukdm cars get downgraded too.

There just something about performance vtec engines, my friend has a 580bhp evo 6 and he will always choose a ek9 over it!

While I understand your concerns I do not agree with them:
1- there are real good Semogue production brushes around....
2- Only 1 limited edition a year isn´t too much to miss on or TOO inflated price.
Do not confuse the blue boar with a limited edition by semogue: it was a guy who organized it through a forum acording to their specs. And I am also very sad to miss out on that one, seems spot on my preferences too! Maybe we should all bomb mail Leon to request making a similar spec normal production brush? I would settle for that knot on any handle....

That's not happening anytime soon
