A lovely start to the day before I’m away on residential with the kids at work. The MSC was a delight the aftershave for some reason gave me a bit of a reaction, it’s hasn’t before so may just be how close the blackbird gets. Regardless it was a great shave before my next few away days.

Stepping down the plates again (from 5 to 4 yesterday, to 4 today) and a return to the Lord Classic that I used with the 5 plate the other day. I'm a daily shaver so these lower plates are more comfortable; I'm also heavy-handed, so open-gapped, aggressive razors can be dangerous in my hands, as can razors that are too mild as I tend to press a lot more with those. The 3 plate is my baseline, I think ...
I would not want to go lower as my heavy-handedness would become too strong. So far, the 5 was okay and yesterday, the 4 was better. Tomorrow, I'll climb up the other way and try a 6 with the Treet Platinum on its second run. Maybe that will be more open and so more likely for me to take a light-handed shave. Either way, 4 is my preference for my style of daily shaving.

Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel Orange Chill + Ariana & Evans Kaizen Splash with some Frost Drops...
A very nice scent from this soap. Somehow prefer this to Peach&Cognac. The lather was absolutely rich creamy and slick!
Another new free brush won at the LIVE show... a very nice comfortable handle and the knot is the same as in the Atlantis and Robin brushes.
This blade is just amazingly good. Paired with the razor...wow..crisply sharp but very smooth and comfortable in 3passes for a bbs finish without any issues. Matching aftershave was just great and lasted too...
