SOTD - 'Black' Friday
Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: Beaver WoodWright "Black Beard" (Bay Rum & Lime)
Brush: Vie Long Epsilon, 26mm 2-band
Razor: Feather WS-D1S
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock black (1)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel followed by UK Barbershop Bay Rum & Village Barber balm

Fri 27th Nov
Omega 11126
Vitos Red Soap
Gem 1912 Damaskeene
Gem S/S [ 5 ]
Alum Rub / Floid Vigoroso A / S

Used today without a shim , so in mild mode. However , despite being up to 5 with the blade the shave was very smooth and with a bit of extra time ,got a really close Shave. Beginning to appreciate this soap a bit more, not really scented but creates a rich and slick lather.

Post #1: Mario Badescu After Shave Moisturizer

Outstanding shave using one of my all-time favourite soaps.

Virginia Sheng 26mm Purtech
De Vergulde Hand
ER 1924 w/ half shimmed Gem Stainless
Alum Rub, rinse and cold rinse
Alcolado Glacial / Benjamins Bay Rum Blend
Nivea Sensitive Balm

Great level of aggressiveness and a nice loud (crispy toast) sound from the shimmed 1924.
The De Vergulde Hand soap is easily one of my top 5 soaps. Easy to lather, great slick & cushion and a very pleasant scent.
Have been experimenting with Alcolado blends and this one, one part Alcolado, 2 parts Benjamins Bay rum is particularly good.
