Been DE shaving a week or two now and just had my second shave with a brush and proper soap stick, and my first shave with proper post-shave software (I picked up some cheapies to try out the concept :)).

It's the best shave I've ever had - super, super smooth - and there's no soreness or tightness at all. It was a very enjoyable experience and a very effective shave. I'm stunned! (And can't wait for the next one. And I have a selection of new blades on the way. And I have an eye on a new brush. And software... :D)

Prep:
Very hot wash using "Nivia for Men face cleansing face wash vitamin enriched soap free" and rinse.
Very hot wash using high-street Fcuk pre-shave face wash and rinse.
Pre-soaked brush and soap stick in hot water for 10 minutes before shave and lathered directly off the soap stick until the brush was full.

Passes:
Three passes - with, across, against the growth, rinsing and re-lathering face after each.

Brush:
Wilkinson Sword bristle brush.

Soap:
Palmolive Classic with palm extract soap stick.

Razor:
Wilkinson Sword Classic.

Blade:
Wilkinson Sword (bundled with razor).

Post:
Boots tea tree & witch hazel cleansing & toning lotion.
Boots Freshwood aftershave balm.
E45 moisturising lotion.

Another fantastic shave with the Alvarez Gomez duo. Sadly the AG gets a thumbs-down from SWMBO so it's been banished from the den, which is a shame because it whips up a fabulous lather and smells great (to me).
