I can't use an electric dry shaver, whether foil or rotary. I haven't tried a modern wet rotary electric shaver.Has anyone found they just cannot get on with a certain type of shaving? For instance I can shave with no issues with a DE razor. When I change to an SE razor I cannot get a smooth nick free shave. My neck always looks like I have chicken pox after an SE shave. I know there would be a technique change but I find that my skin does not like SE blades. I have tried modern and vintage, mild and aggressive, cheap and expensive both razors and blades. I wonder if my skin just disagrees with the stiffness of an SE blade rather than the flex of a DE blade.
When you say SE do you mean Injector, Gem, AC or all three?Has anyone found they just cannot get on with a certain type of shaving? For instance I can shave with no issues with a DE razor. I have tried Colonial General, Hawk, Parker Adjustable, Schick Injector x 2 and Gem. Blades have been Feather Pro, Proguard and Kai. A couple of different blades for the Parker and Schick. Chin and neck always erupt after shaving. I’ve tried different angles, different soaps etc. my face just seems to hate stiff blades. When you say SE do you mean Injector, Gem, AC or all three?
Sounds like you've given it a good go. Stick with what works best for you - life's too short for bad shaves.I have tried Colonial General, Hawk, Parker Adjustable, Schick Injector x 2 and Gem. That’s where my brain has gone. I will try some small changes on a weekend maybe, much wetter lather etc.Sounds like you've given it a good go. Stick with what works best for you - life's too short for bad shaves.
which soap/cream did you use?Same. Why skimp? That said I loaded my brush the other day and there was so much on there I didn't rinse it and got another 3 passes the following day! So I was loading generously as I usually do, but I knew it would go again so why not try?
Extro Cosmesi Arancia Italiana on my Semogue 820. It's quite a soft soap as they go, I wouldn't quite call it a croap but it loads easy. It's almost through to the bottom of the glass now, I used it quite a bit last summer, it doesn't last as long as something like SV, so you do get through it but it lasts well enough and it's the most divine orange smell! Almost like orange opal fruits or starburst or whatever they call the chewy square sweets these days.which soap/cream did you use?
