Heavy razors are not necessarily the best.

The second one is started by you - so that's two in total including you (unless you want to count schizophrenics as two?)

In the interests of transparency: If you're going to produce examples, it's rarely productive to be rumbled as one (or more) of said examples.

it's ok Brucie boy, we understand

and before you say i'm picking on you i'm just having a giggle..... ;)

How come you escaped the B&B cull then Brucie, what special arrangement have you got with the Mods ? :? :?

I behave in a civilised manner.

You knock B&B but they wouldn't allow the personal abuse that is tolerated here.

... they also wouldn't tolerate the tolerance that is tolerated here.

I think you're being a wee bit over-sensitive to what is, in my perception, mainly good-natured razzing from some of the guys here. Especially as you do make yourself the target by putting yourself forward. When folks actively try to draw attention to themselves, they really need to realise that not all of the attention might be of the type they were hoping for.

The Concord razor is very well made. It is not too light. And people who have actually used one like it. And it is £3.51 on eBay. What is there for a traditional shaving enthusiast not to like?

... nowt more than your self-righteous indignation that folks should not revere you as some sort of a shavin' maven, a stubble pundit, a lather-lauding la-ti-da, when mostly you seem to be somewhat passive-aggressively seeking the approval, if not praise from your peers for your ability to accumulate kit.
    • ... or possibly it's just too fricking early in the morning for me to be diplomatically uninterested due to frequent, gratuitous (over-)exposure? [/list:u][/list:u]
      • Though I should be thankful you didn't refer to it as "real shaving" this time... I suppose.
        • What an utterly ghastly and highly judgmental term for slighting folks not into what you're into.
            • ... in my ever so humble blah blah blah[/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u]

Let's see your blog that is better then.

You presumably think you are clever disparaging other people's work like this.

Hang on.... you've got a Lard Blog as well???? No, I didn't think so.

So, do i have a Shaving Blog where i spend time gratuitously self promoting myself as the doyen of obscure shave-analia? No.

I started my Blog for a laugh! Although i cannot speak for others, who's footsteps i followed in, my guess is that one of them is maybe to be taken with a pinch of salt, while the other is probably quite serious - i'll let you decide which ;)

So, how is this 'disparaging peoples work'? - Most blogspots are either: piss-takes, ego-trips or tedious - take your pick.

If you truly believe what you say, it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks :|

To paraphrase Dante Hicks in the film 'Clerks' - it's time to shit, or get off the potty!

This one is easy to explain...Bruce just didn't appreciate the intervention of members when some actual interest was shown in purchasing the usual tat he likes to write about.

How can one justify his raison d'etre? Propose that actually you require more skill to use a cheap lightweight razor and that weight is a substitute for technique. Brilliant.

He's right of course it is more difficult to shave with a drinks can and that's why I (we) should always discourage it.

I'm sure that The Sunster's is the serious blog ........... it's changed my life so Ima going to stick with it (Get it, get it ????). As far as razor weights are concerned I guess it's like the olde time dog fanciers (nice term for dog fighters) used to say ; "No good dog can be a bad colour (or color if you were an American dog fancier I expect)". I now confidently await some lateral thinker expounding the virtue of shaving with a sharpened quill razor, always allowing that the feather comes from a rare raptor located only on one mountain peak in the Andes which moults once every seven years.

At the risk of appearing even simpler than I am (no easy feat) ...........the razor which works well for you & you like is probably a wise choice ! End of !

JohnnyO. (I give fair warning ..... I'm going to start back on James Bond's choice in a wee whiley !). :?

"What a nice community this is where members launch into ad hominem attacks at the drop of a hat. It is really big and brave to do that from a position of anonymity.

You guys are behaving like 12 year olds and should be ashamed of yourselves.

It is no wonder that this forum is so quiet when behaviour like this is tolerated. Who wants to post here when all they are likely to receive in reply is a random personal attack."

"Let's see your blog that is better then."

Brucie Baby, First of all don't get so upset me old son, I am not attacking you or abusing you, not trying to be big, brave or clever, just merely trying to add a touch of humour to the Posts...thought that a man of your experience and achievements which I have been reading about all over the Interweb would be able to see that...... :? But I suppose the sheer volume of less that favourable comments about you on the Web would make anyone paranoid but I’m sorry Brucie, I can't help that.

All I can say is just treat mine and any posts and comments on here in a light hearted humorous way as all the other members of this forum seem to be able to do without throwing your toys out of your pram and being so sensitive about everything, after all this forum is a welcome bit of relief from the pressures and stress of work etc, don't take it so seriously Brucie Babe......

I do feel slightly ashamed, ashamed that I have wasted my time trying to work out what you are all about Brucie Baby and giving you the benefit of the doubt rather than going with the general consensus, I just wish I had gone with my gut instinct, (Olly I will PM you for online forgiveness later on ;) )

For a Man that has only been a Member for a short while your Posts and actions have been less that favourable, but do confirm what I have read about you and certainly compliment your character.

If you truly feel that this forum is quiet (which it certainly is not) and that you are under personal attack then I can think of only one way that things could improve for you Brucie Baby.

Now then............where is that foe button ???

Steve (aged 12 and 3/4)

Damn right it's serious JohnnyO, i am very proud of my other interest in Tape, ok it's not for everyone but i feel that i know you guys well enough now to share my "Sellotape" world with you, and going by the favourable comments i have received there are a few fans on here too, glad i started the blog now, please watch the B/S/T soon as there will be some sticky PIF's coming soon !!

I'm hooked now Steve ! I'm also confidently expecting that by next week you'll have picked up the world's last quill razor at some car boot ! Talk about lucky white heather !

JohnnyO. (Who was buying Sellotape when it was still Scotch). :D

I think this article explains Steve's protective behaviour of us all seeing as he's an adolescent.

The second one isn't me. You are wrong.

Read what I actually typed, rather than what you think I typed - I've underscored the relevant part.
