None. That is a #80. The Made in England version of the US Flare Tip TV Special. What are the differences between this model and the #80 traveller set?
Yes 54 think the case was Blue,You mean '54 I think. Those were standard Super Speeds with a different case.
Not that many really. unless you get into the fine details of minor changes and markings, and the occasional use of steel and aluminum.@TobyC you any idea how many different types of Superspeed there is ??
Pics? Oh yes please!I posted this link yesterday in response to the OP's post on 'the other site': https://vintageshaving.au/razors/gillette-rocket-id-and-information-part-three/
It's a 4 page article - you can trot between pages.
I have an anodised gold 52A Anniversary set Rocket and a cased birth year/quarter US flare tip, which might deserve some pics.
I'll seek my wife's help tomorrow as I'm not too well at the mo. Had to cancel a hospital appointment today - too ill to attend. Funny irony ...Pics? Oh yes please!
Oh dear, sir. Take care of yourself first and foremost. These ruddy razors can wait but, if it brings you pleasure then by all means. I for one, would love to see the 52A Rocket set.I'll seek my wife's help tomorrow as I'm not too well at the mo. Had to cancel a hospital appointment today - too ill to attend. Funny irony ...

I've never run across any Brit ads for a "TV Special" so pretty sure it was a Yankee thing. The USA TV Special was made two years. 1954 with the blue case (a Gen 1 Super Speed) and in 1958 with a red case (a Gen 2 Super Speed) w/flair tip TTO. Also, in 1954 Gillette discontinued the Gen 1 Super Speed and replaced with a (Gen 2 see pic #3) a 1954 Flair Tip. So, in 1954 Gilette has 2 styles of Super Speeds. @TobyC i didn’t realise the Brits done a TV Special ?
I thought it was a cavalcade thing for American Television
