Not if you drop it while stood at the basin! Totectors on Marc..Should definitely keep me in my toes then!
I think they may have come with both handles. I have both and prefer the bakelite myself.
Thanks for that. I am really pleased as it means I I have both! No box for the metal handled one though. Two variants that I've seen in the wild ...
Bakelite hand, like yours:
... and blackened solid metal handle:
One more sorta variant is the same(ish) case, which is slightly shorter and has a double-edge Star with a lovely Art Deco design handle:
I treated myself to The Omega 10066...I've recently reacquainted myself to my humble boars, and realised how good these brushes are.And we thank the Lord for the bounty which Connaught Shaving has delivered.

Amen.
I saw the sale on Omega brushes and bought a few ones I'd not used before.
I hope I'm not the only one to get my calipers out to measure my brushes so maybe my measurements may be of interest.
Name - knot width/loft height/glue bump
10066 - 24.0mm/54.4mm/8.7mm
10066 - 24.5mm/54mm/13.2mm
10051 - 24.7mm/50.7mm/11.5mm
10290 - 24.0mm/50.5mm/8.3mm
I was a little surprised at one of the 10066's having a glue bump almost 5mm higher than the other one, I think the variance might be an explanation why some report their ones to be a little on the floppy side when it breaks in, and others observe theirs to have a lot of backbone.
It might be a little bit of time until I will get to use them but I'm sure I will enjoy using them.
