First shave with it P. Initially it seems smoother than the SS version. First use of the Feather which always bring a little roughness. The true test will be the next 3 shaves. I enjoyed the shave though.

Thanks C

I know what you mean about Feather, (and some other AC blades) being a little rough on the first use.
I really didn't get on very well with the SS Vector, which was a shame.
I really wanted to like using it more than I did, but I was underwhelmed with it.
If I hadn't moved it on to buy a Hawk V3, it would be left in storage not being used.

Full on rose themed shave and an excellent result too. The soap I have had for about six years and is now granular on the surface but still lathers well, that’s the thing with old products they start to degrade especially when exposed to air.

A very pleasant and rapid two pass shave with the Claymore and an unbelievably old Feather blade which was definitely still sharp enough. The Peregrino brush created a fabulous lather with the B&M soap.

Rough night and rough morning, My little dog Ruby went downhill very quickly from yesterday afternoon. We nursed her through the night and were in the vets first thing this Morning. Sadly she did not make it and we had to say our goodbyes. Absolutely gutted.
Managed a shave when we got back, not the most efficient razor, however, it did the job in 3 very mild passes.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

So sorry for your loss mate.
Hopefully you’ll have some fantastic memories.
All the best

Firstly, really sorry Tony to hear about Ruby.

My first run out with the Gibbs 16 Mince, (I love that last word  )
Soaped with Tobs badger and Tabac, this soap was the first and the soap I used many years ago for my shaves and I still love it’s evocative and lasting smell of old barber shop.
Modded a Personna platinum chrome to fit the Gibbs head and got to work. As far as I can see, the head plate is thinner and more pointed on the + edge than the - edge. It looks like that edge has just been ground back a smidgen. It’s really difficult to see with the eye but blade exposure/overhang on the - side looks slightly more than the + side.
However, from my experience this morning, I really couldn’t tell the difference between the +/- , both edges delivered a smooth, comfortable two pass finish, on the mild side but with no weepers or irritation. The handle is hollow and together with the longitudinal knurling provides a very comfortable and manageable grip.
Overal, I like this razor a lot. Is it worth the highish price that these can fetch? Maybe, if you can find one in excellent condition with added extras like blades and box.

On with RazoRock shave balm and off to face a very dreich day here in West Sussex.
Have a great day fellas!
