Brush: Simpson Colonel
Soap: NO Monoi De Tahiti
Razor: Henkotsu Kamisori / CG Lvl 3
Blade: Feather HS (3)
Post: NO Monoi De Tahiti AS

Not quite there, enough to take arm hair off across the length but not that smooth in use. Think it needs a few more laps across the higher tier stones and strop before seeing my face again. Despite this it managed to get it to a level that it only needed a further pass from the CG for a smooth finish.

Hope everyone has a grand day!

Cheers

Marc

Razor: Fatip Lo Storto Open Comb Slant
Blade: Gillette Permasharp, 1st use
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 3 Sovereign Grade
Bowl: Lickimat Wobble Green Bowl
Preshave: Proraso Red Sandalwood Cream
Soap: Signature Soaps Novus Spice Croap
Aftershave: Signature Soaps Novus Spice Aftershave
Additional Care: Shave Music Courtesy Of The Beach Boys Greatest Hits
Additional Care: Wife Sniff Test = Not Too Bad At All

I've always struggled with the Fatip and it often tips over in to being a tad too aggressive for me and my baby sensitive boat race.

Today I had the idea of using it with one of my top performing and slickest soaps. As Jeremy Clarkson would say "My genius knows no bounds", I was looking for a much better result and could yet breathe life into other razors (Yes Colonial General and Gillette Red Tip I'm looking at you, you could get parole from the dusty shelf of shame).

Well, just like Clarkson, my genius came back to bite me. I had more weepers than a Sicilian Mafia bosses funeral. Even the mostly ignored alum block was brought out of retirement and in to play. In the end it was a very close shave but I don't think I am prepared to go through the bloodletting to get there. An hour later and my neck is still stinging, time for more balm.

The FOCS can be a bitey little bugger. The Gentile version is a lovely slant though. I had both - kept the Gentile and moved the FOCS on. May be worth putting a trade offer out on the BST to see if someone has the Gentile that they think is too mild and wishes to swap?

Not a bad shout at all, I’m off later on this week on holiday but when I am back it’s gone on my to do list.

That is only my first time using a Super and initial impressions concur exactly with your own findings. Results may be the same as with my Feathers and Kai s....but in use....the Tedalus just feels so good. It is worth every penny!
It is indeed worth every penny, as you say it feels so good in use, a real joy! :)

A very good shave with the Rockwell 6S on plate 5. I am always surprised with this razor, and how the first pass seems to leave a lot of stubble, but the second pass is a gem, and leaves the face smooth and comfortable even with the Feather blade.

2 Passes, firstly ATG then a mixed targeted pass for and easy BBS finish.
Comfortable, clean and refreshed, although i did get some fleeting indication from the splash.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

Soap – Castle Forbes Lime ( sample)
Brush – Omega Evo 2.0
Razor – Blackbird
Blade – Gillette Winner Platinum (2)
A/S – Floid MV
Balm & EDT – L’Occitane Cap Cedrat

That was beautiful.
Having used this brush a few times now I won’t hesitate to say it’s my best synthetic. I can’t fault it in any aspect and performance is beyond anything I’ve tried. YMMV. I’m sure you all have things in your arsenal that consistently hit all the right notes and this is one of mine.

My last shave with the Winner Platinum was lovely and the blade felt as if there could be more life in it but my comment about “one & done” does hold true. A bit harder work to achieve a decent result today and in future I’ll uphold the one shave rule for these but a fantastic lather from Castle Forbes really helped compensate.

Have a great week ahead !
