Prep: Shower with Baxter’s of California face scrub.

Pre: PAA cube unscented.

Soap: Hampshire wool fat no. 3.

Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia.

Razor: Merkur Clone.

Blade: Bolzano Superinox.

Post: Alum Bart’s aftershave balm.

Continuing the cheap razor run out holiday, I went with the bargain but brilliant Hampshire no. 3 and Merkur clone, (all cheap kit this week incase they get lost or damaged while away), for a cold water shave. I hadn’t used the razor in a few weeks and should have popped a new blade in as this was the roughest shave I’ve had all week and if I’m honest I’ve completely forgot how many times I’ve used the blade! However a few nicks and cuts were not enough to spoil the morning shave as this is a much milder razor than the real deal. Lesson learned!

Thu 12 SOTD
Soap Van Yulay Puros La Habana
Brush Yaqi 24mm Sagrada Familia
Razor Karve Brass SB-D
Blade Vintage Polsilver Super Stainless 3rd
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel MitA + Clubman Whiskey Woods
Really enjoyed this straight-up aromatic cigarish scent. The lather was thickly creamy and slick enough too...
Shave with razor paired with the vintage blade was easy, smooth, and comfortable in 3passes for a mostly bbs finish. The aftershaves were awesome.

Greetings,

Early morning shave,

Last outing of the Dorco Prime Platinum which have been smooth and efficient throughout the week these are my Dorco blade that i have reacquainted myself to....A very smooth forgiving efficient blade my favourite from the Dorco camp that i have used to date.

Finishing my shaving week of with another maiden shave using the new HWF Lanolin Shaving Soap. (no.3) HWF lanolin with Lavender & May Chang like the other new formula was a delight to shave with. The zesty citrus scent from the May Chang is another great addition to this wonderful lanolin based soap...What more can i say, apart from i look forward to using all of the HWF lanolin shaving soaps again in future shaves.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Cien Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Prep: Warm shower
Brush: C&H Fanchurian
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Cubebe
Razor: Razorock Hawk SS V3 'A'
Blade: Feather Pro Super (2)
Post: Cold Water and Barts Ben Nevis Lotion

Thought I'd bring the hawk out after a month or so in the box. Decent shave, got the job done well. It's still remarkable how close a shave this one gives me off the first pass. It performs very well in and of itself, very easy to find the angles and cleave everything away, but it's not one of my favourites.

Cubebe as always a great scent and performance, I keep telling myself I need to get the matching ASL/EDP.

Smooth and ready for the day ahead.

Hope everyone has a cracking day!

Cheers

Marc

Omega 11126 boar
Williams Mug soap
RR S/S Hawk V3- OC
Kai Captain Titan Protouch MG ( 3 )
Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

With this blade on board the Hawk is still assertive but is less fiery. The Shave was smooth and comfortable and the finish attained up there with the best.

Curious as to how you find the OC, I was in search at one point to go alongside the 'A' Plate but decided to hold fire. I'd heard mention that the gaps between the teeth were quite wide which meant that this particular fella kept catching raised areas more frequently than other OC razors. Now this individual may have been going at himself like he was skinning a carcass or he has skin like a bitter gourd which which may very well have been the issue, I just don't know. How do you find it?

I have actually shaved every day, but using a different blade each day (Perma-sharp, Big Ben, treet, Rapira, Voshkod and today, Elios) all shaves with great results as far as how close the final result was. Glad I gave Rapira another go, still not the smoothest, but a close shave in 2 passes.
Today, I thought I'd report as I had an arrival yesterday.
Super-slick lather, had a great 2 pass shave this morning before work and I think I smell good too!

First shave with this brush. Performance was amazing. Easily generated enough lather for three passes. Great flow-through and super soft face feel. Definitely a keeper!

Prep: Shower, Palmolive Olive Oil Soap
Soap: Gentleman's Face Care Club Caribbean Limes
Brush: 24mm Yaqi Sagrada Familia Tuxedo
Razor: Parker 22R Interceptor
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Post: Duru Kolonya, Bart's Ben Cruachan Balm

A day of lemony and limeyness! The Parker/Voskhod combo felt more scratchy than recent Merkur shaves, and I certainly had to pay more attention to my strokes. The lime cream is great - I've previously used the Bergamot & Neroli version so knew what to expect.

404 Grosvenor: Love it, the knot is 95% boar which suits me fine :D
Schick Twin-blade in M2 adjustable injector: Love it, if I were a Kim Jong Un style dictator I would mandate this style of razor and blade to be only ones used by my people :D
B&M Cheshire: Meh, pleasant enough Earl Grey type scent but the lather is really not great... Might be my hard water? Never had this problem with Glissant but all of my Excelsior soaps seem to struggle in this regard.

SOTD 12th Aug
Pre - PAA Cube
Brush - Yaqi Giotto 24mm
Soap - TDS Rose notes
Razor - Star Model 100
Blade - Rockwell Swedish SS #2
Post - P&B Spitfire
Again, only 2 passes required for a DFS.
Blade doesn't feel smoothest during the shave, but no cuts, weepers or irritation so I've got another 99 of these to keep me going for shaves for work.
Star of the show was the lather though, brush and soap combined for a super, slick and shiney stunner of a lather. Had enough for a face wash after too.
Take care all.
