Ganders Goat Soap w/Hop, Sage & Birch
GFT Eucris Shaving Cream
Ever Ready 600N w/Tuxedo Synthetic 26mm
Gillette Hybrid Tech w/Weber Bulldog Handle
Rapira Super Stainless (3)
Brut Attraction Totale Aftershave

Actually, when it came to it I popped the blade into my trusty Gillette Hybrid Tech and absolutely enjoyed the shave. For a blade that really is not that good, I have had one not bad shave, one quite enjoyable shave and this absolutely enjoyable shave. Two passes for each to achieve what I would usually expect to get from my single pass method.

Each shave has given consistent regrowth which is not at all scratchy. I think the first shave was perhaps a little marred by being immediately after a genuinely sub-par shave with that Rise Classic blade and so I think I can conclude that this blade is probably the very base that I would accept for a shave - there are so many blades that can deliver all this and more but this blade doesn't necessarily do anything actually wrong.

It's a 6/10 for me, which is exactly where I have its sibling Ladas Super Stainless.

Razor = Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade = Wilkinson Sword
Brush = Razorrock 24mm Synthetic (n)
Soap = Wilkinson Sword
Splash = Nivea 2 Phase
Balm = Nivea Skin Energy.

Well i won the lottery this week so thought i would splash out,
Did i mention it was a tenner on a scratch card :ROFLMAO:
I’m trying to have a shave everyday this week & it’s not been easy with my skin type but i’m going for it anyway.
Under £20 for the lot.
I Genuinely think this razor is underrated
£4.95 with 5 blades and you can’t go wrong.
iv actually had worse shaves with more expensive stuff.
Also like the fresh scent of the soap which was £2.75 from Amazon
Definitely be using this set up again and would recommend it to anyone else that’s won the lottery :sneaky:

Can I ask how would you describe the scent on the Eucris? It’s one that intrigued me for a while

Rooney 1/2 Ebony Finest (24/57)
Cyril Salter Indian Sandalwood shaving cream
Haircut & Shave P076-SB 17-4
Wilkinson Sword 'New' (2)
Floris Santal aftershave

Another great shave on an overcast and blessedly cooler morning. The cream (firm, almost a croap) made excellent lather; its scent is quite spicy and not at all sweet like the aftershave is.

Like Dracula's coffin!

It's a strong musky, musty with something quite exotic behind; there's dark fruit and dry spice giving the velvet undertones, but they're well behind a huge wall of mustiness. Don't get me wrong here - it's not dank, it's mysterious.

The Brut Attraction Totale is along similar lines, but more green and less must. It's sort of an "alive" version if Eucris is the scent of the undead.

If you like Puig Quorum, imagine it centuries old, awakened by ungodly incantation (and bloooood).

My shave today arrived this afternoon which is unusual for me, but thought 'sod it' and get it out of the way. So the theme was ''Sod it and get it out of the way'

Stuff it razor - Ever Ready 1912
Sling your hook blade - GEM
Move along brush - Alpha Wickhams Artic Fox
Piss off soap - Abbate y Mantia Krokos
Get out my hair scent - Abbate y Mantia Krokos Cologne
These 1912 things rather intrigue me. In theory and to look at they should happily shred your face, but in practice they don't. Which is rather nice for my face. I should be so lucky.

No! If you were Japanese you would be a Goddess Kylie and I would rate this song highly, but you're not, so sod off. Nice bubbles though.

No great choice of blade here so a GEM it was. Put the two together and for something created at the beginning of civilization a damn good and capable piece of kit. If the Vikings had been armed with 1912's we would all be sporting shaggy beards and involved in all sorts of dubious illegal activities. A night out in Bootle. To be honest I have always had a great night out there and the only place a bouncer looked at my shoes and said 'What the fuck are those? Trainees mate, trainees'.

Stolen footwear apart, the more I use this soap the more it sits at the top of my tree. It just does everything one could wish for and it does it in a wonderful way. Good God, even the scent is top notch and unlike many soaps lasts beyond the shave. The brush isn't ideal for face lathering so this shave had to include my long standing Mexican cereal bowl which rather suits the soap as well. I still can't say it is my favourite brush and the Cashmeres are a far better knot, but hey, no hassle and a face full of golden showers lather. No cereals included.

Mix and match and the end results were rather very good to say the least. A few weepers and what one would expect from a blade with a pedigree which included the conquest of Northern Europe. Nothing the styptic couldn't take of and the Brits failed to achieve.

Throw on some witch Hazel, a generous splash of the Abbate Cologne and one most excellent shave. The Abbate scent certainly is different, but very appealing and it does come in a most beautiful bottle. So much so I had to include a photo

You will be thankful I am not going to end on Kylie Minogue but you will be happy I ended on this jolly tune from 'Lucie, Too'. A much better choice than having you all do the locomotion.

Thank you for your reply I will have a look at the link you provided.. is it dark and mysterious in the way that Czech & Speak no 88 is or is it much darker than that as some people describe that as dark but I love it but not a big fan of scents that are too dark if you know what I mean

Are you familiar with T&H Apsley or Wickham Gothic Revival? It's similar to those.
